This will be my first opportunity to see the Vic-coached Longhorns in person. As he mentioned in his ISU post game, Texas has not played well in Fort Worth in recent seasons (not my fault).
This is how you change the conversation! Warren: I swear that girl is indestructible. We beat TCU both games last year but they played us close in Fort Worth. As Vic said, we get everybody’s best game and Texas has a history of not playing well at TCU. Come on Horns. Treat yourself and your fans to a stress-free weekend.
At the game, Lauren Ebo and Aubrey both warming up. Kobe the only player in warmup pants, not shooting.
If Longhorns fans don’t outnumber the Frogs fans, it’s pretty close. 6’ 9” Abbie Boutilier in attendance decked out in burnt orange - she’s pretty easy to spot.
Really hope Texas takes control and puts enough distance so Anissa gets onto the floor. Sitting behind a pretty good number of her friends and family here from Mansfield.
Is Rori so small that her fouls don’t show up on camera? Is that why I see all these phantom calls on her? She’s taking a beating on offense but is not allowed to guard on defense. My only ask is be consistent on both ends of the court
During this timeout, April Phillips had 1 one of the refs at the FT line for a discussion. Can’t say I’ve ever seen an assistant do that.
Missing Latasha. Gaston and Moore have to be careful as both already have multiple fouls. Holly giving good minutes on both ends.
Glad to see us dominate on the road. I had looked at TCU's schedule/results, and other than beating A&M and Tech, there were a lot of games where they just did not perform well. But, that's why you play the game; never know which team brings their best effort on a given day. Texas 66-40 with 4:35 left in the game.
Great game for Audrey, JoAnne and Lauren today. The seniors stepped forward and controlled the game! Also, like that the turnovers are down and the free throws are up.
I know the sympathy factor is low for Kyndall, but I wished she'd gotten more minutes in the first half when the game was more meaningful.
When Anissa went into the game, the 3 rows ahead of me looked like photographers at a red carpet. At least a dozen camera phones went up. Vic let her come into the stands after and hug a lot of them. Feel good moment.
I didn't watch because I was watching the men's game, but the stat I love the most 8-19 turnovers. The stat I love the least, losing the 4th Qtr.
Vic said on the radio post-game interview that he still wasn't happy with the offense, and that he has to do a better job coaching the offense; glad to hear him acknowledge that. Says he was happy with the defense and the overall team effort.
I just wish the ladies could get through one game without leaving me in anxiety about injuries. Any news on Harmon? Lower back/ribs kept her out of game from mid-third for rest of game.
