I’m exhausted from the euphoria of rewatching and analyzing the KState game…..as well as wishing Jackson would join the Horns. So hope everyone realizes we are 49 hours away from rolling into the wilderness to take on the land thieves…..alias the dirt burglers. Just starting this thread so ya’ll can educate me on what will happen Saturday at 2 pm.
I wonder if there will be more angst, hand-wringing, and generalized worry about potentially losing to OU than was in the pre-game portion of the KSU thread. I hope not. I'd hate to lose any of my fellow posters due to anxiety-induced heart attacks.
It’s a big road game with what seems to be a prolific offense against a stellar defense. OU has been a surprise so far this season so I think it’s time the Longhorns put them in their rightful place (which is not vying for 1st place). Texas has the better team but can’t have a bad performance on the road and expect to win. Hopefully they will be their usual laser focused team on the road they’ve been all season
Key: Defense. OU has no defense. None. Theoretically we should be their worst nightmare. Contain their guards Robertson and Williams and we win. It won’t be easy but it should almost be a given if our team of recent shows up. They have several players who can get to double digits but our defense has proven effective against teams/players like that. Rori on Robertson. JAT on Williams. That’s my thinking. Ebo, Gaston and even Moore should have monster games. Warren and Matharu should be icing on the cake. I hope our historically good road team shows up in Norman.
I think we put up numbers in the 90's and they end up in the 70's. I think Texas has the defensive tools to slow them down enough and like WCBBNUT stated, they have no defense. I do think Jennie Baranczyk has performed a miracle, to this point, at OU. She is probably a frontrunner for COY in the B12.
Reading the last few posts, we certainly seem optimistic, and rightfully so. I have to say though (notwithstanding Sangre's concerns for my health) that I'm a little concerned about this game. Just today, we were projected to be a 2 seed at the tournament. All of the players are going to know it. And next week we have two games against a team that has owned us, and that we have a good chance against. Guess what sits right in the middle? I think the OU game is a perfect "trap". Here's hoping Vic has them ready.
I bet Vic will have them ready. All they hear about is how good OU’s offense is and they will be focused on shutting that down just like with A. Lee. I’m actually glad it’s a road game too
Anyone know a way to get Bally sports? I have Dish Network and unfortunately they don’t carry that network anymore. Can I get it through a different platform or anything of that nature?
I've been looking at options, and there are a few, but they're all $80+/month. Reminds me of the good old days when I had to pay for 300 channels that I would never watch on Directv just to get LHN. Cable/Satellite/Streaming services know that sports fans will pay a premium to watch their teams. In this case though, they may have missed me. If anyone has found better options, please weigh in.
I have ATT Uverse. And, these new "Bally Sports" stations are the same exact HD channels (1744 - 1757) and non-HD channels (751 - 757) as when they were named Fox Sports Southwest (FSSW), Fox Sports Central, Fox Sports Atlantic, etc. If your remote has a Search option, trying keying in some of the words from "Women's Basketball Texas at Oklahoma".
Download the Bally app on your phone. Check to see if your provider is on there list. I have spectrum to view LHN and spectrum has Bally sports.
I hate that we lost to such an awful OU team last season at home; Vic stated we squandered like a 14 point lead in the last 5 minutes, and then lost the game in OT. That was rock bottom lost season, IMO.
They’ve come from behind by double digits 4 times this season for wins including against Baylor and BYU. No lead is safe and I’m sure Vic & Co. will be emphasizing that.
Well thank you Suddenlink cable. They have Bally Sports network. Moooo is correct. If your provider had the Fox Sports channels you will likely have them but with the Bally name.
Were you able to find a better option than paying $80 for a short term solution? I stream through Apple TV and downloaded the Balley app. I then followed the steps in Ellis’ post and can now get the regional games (OU) on the Balley app on Apple TV.
No, I was not. The best deal I found was to add "Live TV" to my Hulu account, but that still runs $70/month. I don't seem to be eligible for the trial offer, perhaps because I had Live TV for a few months last year. Oh well...
So I have been looking for a way to watch since my tv provider doesn’t carry the network and the only way is through DirecTV stream. If you get the choice package on there it’s going to cost $89 but you are on a buyers remorse purchase for the first two weeks of purchase so after the game you can cancel your subscription and they will issue you a full refund for your purchase. So you would need to purchase but you get your money back after cancellation.
Hulu dropped Bally sports last year so before you purchase that it’s not going to be on there. Hulu Live tv, YouTube tv, Fubo, and everyone else dropped Bally sports and their networks. The only streaming service that does offer it is DirecTV stream.
