His trial counsel trotted out every single 'poor Jussie, he jus be a victim' card but STILL refused to trot out the "I'm really sorry for what I did" card. The State, conversely, has pointed out that the continued maintenance of doing nothing wrong in the face of a jury verdict can be a factor in sentencing. Also has highlighted the prior DWI in California where Jussie lied to police, creating a pattern. State seems to be asking for a prison term with probation stacked behind, fines of up to $25K on each case AND community service.
#JailforJussie 150 days to be served as a condition of the two and one-half years of probation. hefty restitution nut of ~$120K $25K fine Oh, and more theatrics in Jussie yelling several times "I am NOT suicidal." Survey suggests he will be a martyr and *checks notes* off himself. The judge went on...and on...and on...and on. But at least there is some time to be served even if just in the jail, where I guess he gets to hook up with the Gangster Disciples or the Vice Lords. Guarantee some of them, whoever he rides with, will be extras on a set if Smollett ever gets another job.

A UNT professor made all these claims about being humiliated by a cop….. uh she didn’t know his camera was rolling. The cop was very friendly and this woman lied…. Why can’t this be criminal?
