Quick throws to the playmakers, punishing runs, and the occasional deep throw to keep the defensive penetration to a minimum

The key to success will be a) how quickly the QBs get up to speed, and b) the performance of the O-line. When both come together it will be something to behold. I’d love to see it by Game 2, but by OU is probably more realistic.

"Every year" would be even better.

Mathis and Caleb would make for a complete transfer haul.

Sure hope there are a bunch of commitments following the Spring game - need to see some dominos start falling.

Is supposed to decide tomorrow at 3pm PST. Roach thinks it's Miami. IT believes it's Tx.

247's West Coast mod, Biggins, is reporting that WR DeAndre Moore, Jr. of Los Alamitos, CA is down to four schools: Louisville, Oregon, Texas and USC.

His current plan is to use officials on every school and then make a summer decision in July.

You can tell he loves Coach Marion and is a fan of Sark's offense, but USC looks like stiff competition since he was originally committed to those coaches before they left Oklahoma.

DE Ashton Porter of Cypress Ranch will be back on campus this weekend after not attending either of the big recruiting events in March.

IT believes he will still be a Longhorn if the staff pushes.

Pardon me while I try to work up a single tear for this announcement. Check back after the next ragweed attack.

Sorry bystander, I'm just not thrilled with this commitment. I hope the young man comes here and does great but his track record at Bama is not promising. Both he and Billingsley wore out their welcome in Tuscaloosa and we need a strong cohesive locker room.

I hear you. I read up on him after I asked the question. Hopefully people can grow up. Sark knows him. But we also know that for the sake of victory coaches (and fans) like to believe in people they would ordinarily condemn.

Ben Davis, the 5-star, top rated LB who transferred from Bama last year was a non factor in 2021. Thornton didn’t do much either. KR was a significant addition. Ohhoufo, MEH so far.

My Bama connection tells me that one of the issues with Hall is his father. He didn’t elaborate. No one questions his talent.

While I hope 2022 will be a breakout year in terms of portal acquisition performance highlighted (so far) by Ewers and perhaps Hall, we’ll have to wait and see. On paper, and particularly if Mathis joins, the additions are formidable. But for my money, the best recent transfer that comes to mind was Gary Johnson, and that was a while ago.
