Column: A Texas woman needed an abortion. Here's how far California went to help her

"This is of course none of our business, and requires no justification [By says: NO MATTER IF IT'S MURDER OR NOT], no back story to make us understand a choice that is hers alone. But Stephanie shared her story with me both to help explain what it really means for California to be a sanctuary state for abortion {By says: PROUD TO KILL VIABLE BABIES], how urgent it is that this state keep the promises its politicians are making, and to let others in need of an abortion know that there is help in these dark and frightening days."

I knew which post but I'm not sure how I'm making like Abbott.

Wrong thread, but consistent in repeating false claims. IUDs are not mentioned in the bill, but the gullible, low IQ libs are more than willing to repeat the lies of the MSM.

So far, we have heard IUDs will be criminalized, interracial marriage will be outlawed, and separate but equal is going to be legalized again. The hysterics are fun to watch.

Somebody get me the number of the Ministry of Truth asap!

I am by NO means defending Abbott. I just asked you what impact the directive of his you mentioned has.

I know you have had some rough issues but do not please think your loon of an ex wife represents any real conservative populatiom.

A complete ban on abortion would not affect me personally as I am fixed as is my wife. My children are impacted if something happens and as we know, sh*t happens. That's no excuse but a complete ban is too much in my view and Abbott is all over it as is the loon.

I know she doesn't represent all Christians. But she is representative of a sect that has a voice and Abbott appears to be sympathetic to that voice.

I think the post of by's you are referencing is an Abbott quote, not by's opinion.
Aren't there quotation marks around it?

Yes. My point was he put out the quote. Him showing the quote makes me like Abbott more.

Yes, that is correct. That is Abbott's quote.

Coach, I'm no fan of segregationists and think they were wrong in every respect, but I don't remember learning about them being the busybodies. I don't remember them filing suit or protesting to force New York or Massachusetts to segregate their schools. I'm not saying you'll never see an example of a conservative suing a liberal state to subvert its people's authority. They do exist, but this is overwhelmingly a product of the Left. They do it far more. By the way, I'm not always against them. When the law actually is on their side, I'll stand by them (in both directions). However, when it's not (and it wasn't in Roe and in a crapload of other cases), I'm going to call them out as the authoritarian tyrants that they are.

And liberals of the old days respected the law. The Constitution now requires equal protection, bans slavery, and protects the right to vote, and it was a disgrace that it took 80ish years for the federal courts to fully enforce the law. I fully endorse the litigation and appropriate legislation to do all that, but the requirement that the law actually be changed must be followed. You can't just yada, yada that.

I honestly do think Democrats could benefit from this court opinion if they handled it with sanity especially after McConnell put his foot in his mouth, but they just can't resist the urge to appeal to and appease the crackpots. If you're trying to reach moderates and swing viewers, calling for violence looks bad. Wild hyperbole and predictions of the apocalypse look bad. Protesting outside of people's homes to terrorize and intimidate them looks bad. If you're not doing those things but you rationalize them, it looks bad.

It'll be a dicier move with Trump, but they will always say the current nominee (whether it's Pence, Desantis, etc.) is worse than the previous one. They'd say about Pence, "at least Trump wasn't as openly religious and bigoted toward gays and transgender people."

The biggest problem with Pence is the lack of charisma...while he IS capable of some manner of emotion, the enthusiasm will simply not be there at a national level come election time...

Pence is an establishment, neocon. He won't ever win a Presidential election.

He would communicate in a more respectful manner though. That is what we really need in this country a nice guy who let's the Left continue to destroy us.
