The one-loss teams, assuming the games are 50/50 here on out, have a 12.5% chance of winning 3 straight games.

You could say that Washington playing as #1 seed and at home should have a greater than 12.5% chance. However, they lost today despite those advantages. I will stick with the percentages.

Texas as Regional host in 2019 lost the first game and clawed their way back into winning the Regional.

When Whitaker and then JJ Smith were whiffing, I was mumbling why doesn't Mike put in Day. Then, we noticed we couldn't spot Day in the dugout. Anyone else notice?

The announcer made the statement yesterday on tv that Day did not make the trip because of some protocol. I did not understand what he said exactly but it could have been a covid or sickness protocol.

Didn’t announcers mention yesterday that some Texas fans were removed from the park yesterday?

Tough loss. We have to hit better or our season will end tonight.

Police escorted at least one Texas fan from his seat at Disch Falk. They were not sure if he was kicked out or just moved away from the KU fans he got into it with.

I didn't hear anything about an incident during the ladies' game, but then those announcers should not be worried about ever being compared to Kern Tipps.

Texas misses Courtney Day for that pinch hit clutch hit that she is known for.

    Wow!!!! What a day!!!

I literally thought right before the B7 started that we had played such clean softball. Then we got the error. But 1 error in four games including a three game road series isn’t bad. I’ll take that.

    Fayetteville here we come!!!

What a great win. The fight of the Dolicini and Jefferson is inspiring.

I knew we had a shot of advancing at most regionals and we did it. Really wish Klinger had picked us when transferring. Boy is she good and intimidating.

Excited for Arkansas and a chance to see Ellsworth!

Looking at Arky schedule, I’m excited. They lost two games to Washington (albeit at the beginning of the year). Sweeping (four games) Gainesville on the road is impressive though that’s for sure.

They’re a big home run hitting team. That’s a lot of firepower! Wow!

Hoping Courtney Day is able to travel with us.

No matchup at this point is easy but I think Coach White has to like this matchup for us!

Will Dolcini pitch all games? Does he let someone else (or a committee) go for Game 1.

Just a big shout out to aggy softball, who got into the NCAA record books in their regional.

Largest margin of loss in NCAA tourney history, losing 20-0 to OU. I'm sure they just ran out of innings though.

Wish A&M would have kept Evans longer. Most expect them to target Oklahoma State's head coach to lead the program. That would be a tremendous hire, and they have the money to pull it off.

I would think Dolcini would go in game 1 and then some else in game 2 and back to Dolcini in game 3 if necessary.

This could happen if we win G1. But can’t see White not pitching Dolcini in an elim game.

Arky seems to have two reliable pitchers (stats). That could be an X Factor.

Mike is pitching Dolcini game 1, that's a given. So two things could happen:

    Game 1
    Dolcini wins
    Game 2
    Czech loses
    Game 3
    Dolcini wins

    OR
    Game 1
    Dolcini loses
    Game 2
Pitch Dolcini because you have to go out with guns blazing?
(but then with that logic why not pitch Dolcini in Game 2 in the first scenario?)

If she loses Game 2, then never mind. Back home to Austin.
If she wins Game 2, then do you "Dance with who brung ya"? And pitch her Game 3?

The double-header with Washington shows both the pros and cons of wearing out your star pitcher.

I've heard on podcasts that Arkansas is primarily made of a two-pitcher tandem. The NCAA stats show:

I hadn't considered it that much of a hardship, but apparently it's unfair?

I don't see the problem. It's Memorial Day weekend, finals are over (unless they took incompletes). Getting in and out of XNA from Austin isn't that easy, so hopefully Chris chartered a death dart. Hope they stay in Springdale with all the chain restaurants, unless there are enough rooms at Carnal Hall for everyone. Restaurant in hotel is one of best in XNA.

    Are games Th-F-Sat or Th-F?
