10.22 doesn't mean squat if he always gets jammed at the line. It's a nice stat, and you can't coach speed, but a lot more than speed goes into being a successful WR.
Sark did recruit him to Alabama. WR Agiye Hall becomes fourth ex-Alabama player to transfer to Texas and join coach Steve Sarkisian
"He spent multiple days with Hall and his family, explaining what the expectations would be." Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian did his homework on Agiye Hall
There is an Agiye Hall thread in On the Field for anyone interested One word of note...he was never on roster due to his summer enrollee status.. and some saying this a regurgitated old story FWIW IDK about that last part but the first part is true
Debunked. Thoroughly. You should set the internet to block all mention of the worthless turd who propagated this story.
I was reading an ESPN article from preseason last year. They listed roughly 15 breakout players (again for last year) And this young man, Tarique Milton was listed. Agiye Hall.. the recent Bama transfer was also listed! UT has SPEED at the WR position. Update- link: ESPN College GameDay Crew picks players to watch in 2021
Yes our receivers are fast. The QB will have choices. Will Sark be able to scheme them open? Can the QB hit them on the run? Its going to be fun to watch. Then we also have quality TEs and fast RBs running routes. You know they will blitz to get to the QB. Will the QB make good decisions?
I think that : The WR talent, Ewers ability to hit the long pass, KRobinson/Johnson/Brooks could all be starters other places Will help the OL. If a D coordinator is crazy enuf to stack the line… Worthy, Neyor, Whitt, Billingsley and Hall will be single covered. No way a Defense plays M2M against that line up.
I suggest 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 TE as eligible tackles, 3 OL, and 3 WR. Not sure how a defense blitzes when facing that personnel set.
If you have wideouts all over the field and TE/RBs able to run short routes in the middle can you afford to blitz? Your safeties and LBs are gonna be busy in coverage. Any blitzing defender should leave a WR/TE/RB wide open. The QB just needs to be able to read the hot route.
Very true, but the receivers need to make the same read and adjust accordingly. A wrong read by a WR cost us the Rose Bowl against Alabama, and it can be argued ultimately Gilbert's career at Texas.
If he has speed, quickness and can make bone jarring tackles behind the line, I don’t care if he weighs 140 pounds!
SN, What he lacks in weight he makes up for by being 5'10" If he has Rod Choate speed or hits like Joe Bob Bizzell, I'm ok with it.
