I may have not been happy at times with Singleton due to our lack of bats at times but, I respect him so much for standing up to the ump who was being an - hole. Just unnecessary disrespect that Singleton won’t tolerate.

Very hard to do considering Cat never got us this far. OU had won over 30 straight before we gave them their first loss and OU 22-may be the best softball team in the history of the sport.

Exactly! I don’t care what people say to rationalize a constant home venue, it can only help promote and provide fan support for the “home” team. Move the damn tournament around each year to neutral sites. OK City is just up the road from Norman and the goobers who live there are diehard sooners. And the Omaha comparison does not mean ****.

Dolcini went 2-2 while Czech went 2-1. Dolcini may have had another loss but she got pulled from the Arizona game after giving up the lead and Czech gave up zero runs the rest of the game in that comeback win. In the championship series Dolcini didn't even make it out of the first inning against OU while Czech pitched 4 solid innings before being pulled. It wasn't a particularly stellar tourney by Dolcini although she did have a good game against UCLA. I understand why they chose Czech over Dolcini.

 

Then we should rotate around from Omaha too. I mean, what if Nebraska became a baseball powerhouse?

Did anyone know this happened? It’s not something that gets advertised and the National Anthem is not normally shown on tv. I mean this Aggie gets center stage at a Nationally televised event and and what’s on his mind, dropping the horns down! The level of animosity and toxicity these Aggies have for Texas is just beyond me. I would not want to carry around that much hate with me. About time the NCAA did something. However, his removal will energize those who hate the University of Texas under the guise that if everyone does it, the NCAA will eventually back down and quit enforcing horn downs as taunting when done on the field.

 

It shows he really isn't a sports fan, given that it was announced prior to the last season or two that it would be a penalty for taunting. If the football teams could be penalized, how does that sheep-loving fool think he is above sanction?

 

I don’t think the ncaa will ever change the rule that the Horns down on the field will not be considered taunting. I sure hope not. The East Carolina baseball series was a great example. I have never seen a more rabid, drunk bunch of rednecks in my life. They cared less about screaming for their team than screaming and throwing the horns down against Texas! At the end those fans were in pain. Let the opposing fans bring it on.

Looks like OSU fired it's hitting coach Jeff Cottrill because you see the naming of his replacement: Whitney Cloer to be Named Oklahoma State Hitting Coach - Extra Inning Softball
They were hot at the beginning of the year and then slumped. Cottrill's twiter bio lists his location as "Coaching Portal, USA"

Awkward as his daughter should be a senior catcher next year on that team.
