Moloch worship is absolutely the best biblical parallel to modern abortion that there is.

That's because we don't teach civics anymore and everyone believes that democracy=majority rule. That's a perfect formula for mob rule and the old "might makes right" standard of government that society had SEEMED to get past at some point. Now that mindset is firmly implanted in the last two generations, which is why you can condemn the Jan. 6 riots as insurrection (they're the minority and they're not allowed) and encourage insurrections around Roe v Wade (everyone I know is made about this so we're in the majority, therefore anything that goes against our will is illegitimate) without one ounce of self-reflection or guilt.

Will the companies who offer to pay for the travel and costs of the abortion also pay the same amount for employees having a baby?

Its pretty amazing when you consider all of the dominoes that had to drop precisely correct and in the correct order for this monumental decision to have occurred:

    • Harry Reid eliminates the filibuster for Federal Court nominees (except the SCOTUS) - this sets the precedent for Republicans to eliminate the filibuster for the SCOTUS later. I'm positive that Republicans would not have had the stones to make this move otherwise and likely would have nominated milquetoast moderates like Roberts to clear the filibuster.
    • RBG chooses not to retire during Obama's last term
    • McConnell refuses to fill the Scalia vacancy until after the 2016 election - rare showing of fortitude by the Republicans
    • Trump actually wins the 2016 election - thanks much in part to the Democrats nominating the most unlikable candidate in the history of the country.
    • Republicans eliminate the filibuster for SCOTUS appointments - Big thank you Harry Reid.
    • Republicans hold on to a thin majority in the Senate in the 2018 midterms
    • RBG passes away during Trumps last two months in office
    • Trump fills three SCOTUS vacancies with strict constructionist judges over his one term - easily his most enduring legacy

This bears repeating often - the Dems could not have found a worse candidate than Hillary.

But, to the comment above yours about her being unlikeable, yes, that is true. But, many people voted for Depends because of the same thing said about Trump. Now, not only is she unlikeable, but her policies and methodology she would have likely used to govern were insufferable. She could have been June Cleaver and I would vote against her with her ideology.

More seriously I have seen this happen at work. Complete objection to a new idea however the idea pusher persists. Over time, the obstacles placed in way of the new idea either disappear or no longer seen as relevant. Also, events will line up in a way to support your idea. Thus in 5-10 years, you get an opening to get your idea approved. In short, persistence pays off.

Speaking of consistency, have pro lifers been known to threaten violence and intimidate people while stropping traffic, etc.? Or, have they have generally accepted the Roe ruling for decades while quietly protesting it and trying to get it overturned?

Were Dem Justices threatened and harassed for decades?

Some did in the 1980’s and it hurt the movement. They turned that energy into establishing crisis pregnancy centers, for example, that was more productive.

Why worry about the GOP doing self-harm regarding abortion politics when the dems are flat out crazy or lying:

I have been engaging a lot of folks on Twitter. It’s a little **** posting but also to correct the record on obvious false statements. One take home observation is that many young folks, mostly women, have a hard time believing their abortion views could be a minority opinion in certain places. For the most part, the upset abortionist lives in a blue state or UK, so for them abortion on demand is the majority opinion. In any event they cannot see it any other way due to leftist ideology.

    Playing the long game.

Do not underestimate the role of The Federalist Society in these developments. Calebresi and his crew have been working towards this for a long, long time. Thomas’ concurrent remarks give a taste for what they have in mind for the future.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

So, late Friday afternoon, employees at my company received the below email text. Interestingly worded. I read it several times to try and decide the approach / strategy that HR was taking to make this statement. Basic support? We are here for you? Remain calm? CYA?

Being a male, I do not know how abortions are treated under the company provided medical plans... and frankly don't care to go find out.

Knowing my company, me and a few co-workers agreed this statement was probably more of a basic CYA statement that the Legal Dept. advised them to issue. For anyone not familiar with the term CYA: Cover Yer ***:

"We are aware of today’s ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade, which removes the right to have an abortion under the federal constitution, and instead allows abortion rights to be decided at the state level.

This ruling is a highly sensitive topic. At ____________, it is our responsibility to lead with our Core Values and treat each other with respect, kindness and understanding.

If you have any questions, please visit the Benefits Services site or reach out to your HR Manager.

Our top priority will always be the health and safety of our team, and we appreciate your continued support."

Yup, Antifa and BLM, plus other similar paid AH community organizer THUGS show up in mass to assault a few pro-lifers that are not in a position to adequately defend themselves.
