What’s a woman? Birthing people was intended perhaps?

Snark aside at least it’s accurate regarding state lawmakers having the power to make abortion law, plus it didn’t say that fundamental rights were taken away by SCOTUS.

Yeah considering some statements being made over this I thought the LPGA was not bad.

Why should they even make a statement? Good, drive people like me, who watch it a lot, away. Nice business model for an organization that struggles to get people to buy tickets in the first place.

So, now all the pro-baby killer types will start watching the LPGA? What a joke.

I must admit that I am continually shocked by the white hot passion some people have for killing unborn babies. I can understand why some people feel abortion should be legal especially in the first trimester but I do not understand the passion for it. At best, there should be ambivalence anytime we have to weigh the greater of two important principles - life and liberty.

I don't even understand why some people feel it should be legal? Should we also just go ahead and get to kill people of we think they are ********? This really opens things up.

Oh, I know...rape. Yeah, suddenly the diagnoses of rape would shoot up 10,000% with complicit quacks, er, "doctors" going along with it.

Where is the BS flag emoji?

    :ousucksnana:<<<that'll have to do.

I guess we will see how many people value abortion over gas prices come November.

Man haters. They think they will be chained to the kitchen and bedroom if they can’t abort babies. Babies = prison with their man as the jailer.

This was actually shockingly non-partisan. I mean you know the thought behind it, but they actually managed to write a statement that applies pretty well to either side of the argument without taking a side against either.

Essentially it says nothing except “hey everyone go vote.”

Do you understand now why they went ape **** over Kavanaugh? He was the 5th vote (for at least allowing restrictions a la Roberts). They threw every rape allegation against him that they could levy. Roe was over when he was nominated.

It's also a false observation that abortion is a men v. women issue. It isn't and never has been. Women have always been the backbone of the pro-life movement. In fact probably most women who get involved in politics from the conservative side do so because of abortion.

The real divide (to the extent that there is one) is marital status and issues surrounding marital status. If you want to bang dudes you don't really know and not get stuck being a single mom (since you know the guys are only banging you because they're horny, not because they love you and therefore wouldn't marry you if they impregnate you), you're probably pro-abortion. If you're one of these guys, you're probably pro-abortion, because though the chick you're banging can't force you to marry her, she can force you to pay child support or blow your cover if she's a mistress.

Obviously, there are exceptions in all directions. There are married people who are pro-abortion, and there are single people who are pro-life, but to the extent that there is a divide, this is it.

The extremists on both sides are why this is such a contentious issue. For all the talk of “science” for the last three years, it can be an obvious solution based upon time.

However, one side says “killing babies” while the other calls it a “constitutional reproductive choice” that destroys the logic that should be put into place.

Maybe in their minds, Kavanaugh was the deciding vote but they would have been wrong. It was actually Coney-Barrett that tipped the balance. If RBG survived a few more months then Roe would not have been overturned.

The Kavanaugh loss was so demoralizing that they had little left in the tank for the fight that actually mattered.

I was surprised to find out in the history of the US that no SCOTUS Justice has been assassinated. Unfortunately I have a feeling that streak will come to an end. The Left is not able to pack the court and don't have the patience to win at the ballot box. Its only a matter of time that they will realize that they can time the assassination of conservative judges when they have the Senate and White House.

In a later exchange, someone said in many circumstances abortion is the best outcome. I said that is your opinion. Others in states that may ban opinion think otherwise. On average, assume a 15 week restriction for most states.

Yes, it comes down to opinion but most won’t admit or don’t know that others have different opinions. It’s the leftist bubble that has been created over the years by their media.

@Mr. Deez Again for the 100th time, you were concerned that the GOP would screw up post-Trump and post-Dobbs?

Dems will always outpace the GOP. They can’t help it. The party has been taken over by the looney left.

I question that. It’s like there is one spot reserved for this, and the party on the outside looks saner by comparison.

I keep reading "friends" on social media justifying broad abortion laws based on exceptional cases where there is a complicated situation and the mother's life is in danger. Who doesn't want there to be some options when there is an ectopic pregnancy or there is a miscarriage?

Is this how people think now? We should support millions of baby murders so that in the very rare situation where the mother has a problem her life can be saved by chopping up a baby's body? Sounds like we should just protect life in general. The mothers'. The children's. Write laws so that in the very rare cases where a decision needs to be made the doctor has that freedom. But for the 99.9% of cases where the mother just wants to kill her baby because she is scared or inconvenienced, the baby should be protected by law. I am seeing such wickedness exposed publicly with no repercussions.

It's just bad faith argument like when they bring up rape and incest. Would they go along if you agreed to an exception to deal with the situation they raise? No.

The reason is that they won't be treated harshly for doing something like this in Vermont. If they tried this at the Texas Capitol or a state that might actually ban abortion, they'd get into real trouble. Might even get shot.
