Aren't these administered free at Fish Camp for those rare ags who don't identify as "US" (ungulatesexual)?
Yeah, a lot of really FINE cuisine in Bryan / CS... you know, like: Dixie Chicken, Golden Corral, Cracker Barrell, Denny's, Steak & Shake, Jack-in-the-Box, etc.
WHY? The home and away atmosphere is what makes the rivalry. I'm a Cowboys fan and I say no. We have a great stadium in Austin where the students are!
Agreed. Playing the gooners in Dallas I think is a major cause of too many good TX players going to OK. I'm not sure what playing aggie in Dallas would do in that regard, but at least every other year recruits could see colij stayshun is a dump.
Disagree. Before NIL, there were benefits being offered by ou that caused Texas guys to go to Norman.
I can see how that would be a convenient trip for you NRHorn, but I refuse to get behind any proposal that benefits Jerry F'n Jones at all.
The Aggies might agree to play at NRG, but they already go to JerryWorld to play Arkansas. Aggies filled it up first year, and very few I know will go back.
Sabre, Why do the aggys you know not want to go back to Jerry World? I suspect being gouged by Jerry for parking & concessions, etc. but could be other reasons?
Worster, You hit the nail on the head. Outrageous cash outlay for what has become meaningless game to most. Going to Tuscaloosa, Baton Rouge, even Auburn has more appeal. A former member of the BOR told me that for the money he spent in Arlington, he could go to both Baton Rouge AND Tuscaloosa.
Right - the final four are the teams in the CFP for 2014 - present. The AP Poll and Coaches Poll can be used for 1940 to 2013.
Austin to College Station is a 90 min drive. Many who attend both games are an hour or less drive from either. Why take it to Dallas to make it harder for both? The intermingling of fan bases in the area between and around the two makes it a bad idea.
The vast majority of Aggies detest Jerry World. There's a countdown for when the Arky game returns to home-and-home.
I'm a Dallas guy and this is what I think. Two points close to each other. Why add a third point way out of the area? In fact, if you're going to Jerry World this up (which I don't suggest), do it in San Antonio. Do home-and-home.
"Decent" is the optimum word. San Antonio is fun and has some really great food, but neither school is likely to give up almost 40,000 seats at $125-150 per seat.
Plus, one of the main reasons for joining the SEC is to improve the home schedule. Why move what is likely the most anticipated match-up to a neutral field? Even when A&M was in the Fran doldrums the game would sell out and fans would show up.
I'm just saying if it's not home-and-home, don't do Dallas or Houston. That feels contrived. Dallas is a natural midway for TX/ouSUX so this is natural, as is doing during the state fair. That's natural hoopla. I get most of us have the internet and 60 inch samsungs etc so seeing a hog with balls the size of my head (not that i got close enough to compare) and eat fried food while shooting water in a clown before stepping into the new Ford Lightning is not AS fun as it used to be. But TX/ouSUX at fair park is awesome for me. JerryWorld is not.
