----------- Gulette left aggy without committing. Sg sites don't have much confidence in getting him. Matthews is a real possibility. Wilson is a "dream" but the coaches will continue on him and getting him on campus will go a long way. Toviano has been uber quiet. It was believed we led for him up until last week anyway. File this the same as Wilson Hicks is all aggy. A very long shot here. Vasek is hell bent on leaving the state. We are 3rd behind Ore and the goobers. Is supposed to announce today. It is believed to be ou.

That sucks. He was very impressive in the State Championship game last year. I thought it was UT or Oregon. When did Okie get in the mix?
I have made several 1 time payments And what has that to do with nil money for players? I am due though.
Last 3 recruits we wanted are gone or are going to aTm, OU, or USC. We are no longer getting “errbody”. We are in a slump.
My concern is that Texas with Sark is seen as an elite offense program, but deficient on defense. Recent on field performance certainly reinforces that perspective. Until we demonstrate that we can play competitive on that side of the ball, my fear is that we will continue to lose the elite defensive recruits — and primarily the ones we need the most — to teams like A$M and OU. On the flip-side, it may well be that those two schools cannot compete with us for elite offensive talent. To build a national championship team, you have to be competitive on both sides of the ball.
BON article on our recent misses on Def recruits. Arch Effect not enough for Texas to land key targets on defense - Burnt Orange Nation
Because as it stands today, PK sucks as a DC. If we want the elite d recruits, they have to perform. Last year was horrible on D.
Don’t get it, if ‘D’ weak why wouldn’t someone think that’s a great opportunity for playing time? When we’re loaded in a position I would think that would be a tougher slot to fill.
Because even if you're a stud at your position, if all the other positions suck, you find yourself on a crap team.
Don't write off the 2023 "D" recruits just yet. The early signing period is still several months away. Should the Texas D play what would appear to be over their heads in the Alabama game and follow that up with winning efforts against ou, oSu and Baylor, there will be 2023 defensive players changing their minds.
