It was NOT the President who locked down the nation for months on end.

Blue State governors are the ones who denied their citizens the opportunity to earn a living for months on end. And it was a Blue POSPOTUS who continued the harmful economic policies and practices of giving away free crap. We STILL see them denying an opportunity for many landlords to evict the deadbeats.

Folks, give Switzer some credit. He can admit that lockdowns were a mistake. That's a huge concession to make if you're on his side.

Much of what we learned was learned with the benefit of hindsight. We'd do a lot of things different. Lockdowns, outside activites, etc. Schools is another one.

To be fair, about 50% of the country...maybe more...said lockdowns and shutting down schools was a dumb idea. We got ridiculed for being dumb super spreaders. It's only hindsight by roughly 25% of the country because the other 25% would still have schools shut down and everyone locked away.

And we STILL have idiots proposing the closure of schools this fall and the banishment of those inner-city kids who won't get 'vaccinated.'

The so-called professionals are dooming an entire generation...

Ok bubba I take your point but I wasn’t meaning to diddle I was interested in whether or not you meant something different than mutate. I was asking only because my opinion (and more than a few genuine scientists) is that the vaccine, especially with the insane number, enhanced the mutation rate. Actually that is my biggest rub on it, especially as on my second round which I blame on the d*** Omicron variant.

I don’t know. A mutating virus mutates. It’s like a Komodo dragon. They eat whatever they can. It’s what they do. Shutting down air travel in march of 20 made the flu almost non existent for a year. It came back. Vaccine didn’t change its mutations. Contact (or lock thereof) with new hosts did.

    Things do what things do.

    Okie gonna okie, etc.

    :ousucksnana:

Seriously, no right minded person ever thought any closures/lockdowns were ever a good idea. No hindsight needed.

To be fair, it's easy to say that now - with hindsight. :p

Every epidemiologist in the world said lockdowns were bad up until 2019. It was the most common of knowledge. I even read the CDC guidelines from November 2019. That is what it said. So yeah, everyone should have known locking down society was going to have bad consequences. There were guys in early 2020 saying that many more thousands/millions will die of cancer now because they didn't get screened to catch it early or delayed treatment.

The US decided to follow China because China said their lockdown eliminated covid there. It was all a lie of course, but people like Fauci took that and advocated the same policy in the US.

    Awww...just breaks my heart...

Novavax does not have a forecast for U.S. orders in 2022: CEO Erck

The best part is not being able to issue guidance going forward due to...ongoing talks with the government. In other words, this is a company propped up almost entirely by government money and the house of cards has collapsed as people woke up to the nonsense the wokists were trying to mandate about the need for ongoing shots into perpetuity...

$NVAX is down more than 30% today...and it was not some stock trading as a dollar or two where such moves are not infrequent. Can you imagine being the fool that thought the gravy train would continue ad infinitum...

All thinking people who aren't mewling weenies have been, at least as soon as the initial "flatten the curve" stuff started morphing into whatever the excuse of the day became for continuing the quarantine.

I said it before and during the insane flatten the curve closures. Absolutely ludicrous. A freaking virus.

“and the beat goes on, the beat goes on….” Just imagine if the authorities had used some ‘science’ sense from the beginning. My one grandson whom we pray will recover from his lost year would never be questionable. Breaks my heart - seriously.

I am so grateful to have been fortunate enough to know one of the “white coat” Docs through this. No telling my fate otherwise after two rounds with the Rona. Sometimes God does look out for us.

Consistency, integrity, and truth?? From the guy who admits he lied about masks several times in both directions?? That's like Bill Clinton (or frankly Donald Trump) saying, "the thing people most like about me is my devotion to marital fidelity."

Let me get this straight. Trump is the president who starts mask wearing, social distancing, and quarantining. He's bad. Biden is the president who ends all that. He's good.

Frankly, Trump effed up going along with all that BS. None of it did a damn bit of good, but the harm it created is still gripping us.

Fauci is such a shameless, arrogant, megalomaniac. Truly the worst. He is 84 or something and won't even retire with all the millions of dollars he has. He can't even step aside and let someone else scam us all.

I tested positive for covid today, and it's rather crappy. I told my wife one of my symptoms was feeling cold. She said, "Why don't you turn up the AC?" I went over to the thermostat and upped it. She said, "What the hell are you doing?" I told her as a loving, always-listening husband, I heard her idea, thought it was brilliant, and was in the implementation phase. She responded, "It was implied that you could only turn up the AC when I'm (she) not home!"

:idk: This medical condition has clouded my judgement, and now the thermostat is set even lower than when I first touched it.

When I got it last August this was the most persistent symptom. I wore a sweatshirt for at least a month during the hottest part of summer.
