I hate to think and I hate to say it, but let's see what Patty Gasso leaves for the rest of us from that list. And then there's the transfer portal. What you see may not mean what you get in 2-3 years.

Hannah Messer a 24’ RHP from Wylie, Tx. Of course Bella Dayton is pictured with her who is also from Wylie. Coach Zaleski must be going by the name Coach Z?

Now this is a surprise! The number 1 ranked pitcher in 2024 has committed to LSU and not Oklahoma. Would be great if this was the beginning to break up that dynasty!

Sa'mya Jones and Townsen Thomas both visited LSU this weekend.

Texas State now has 4 2024 commits.

Agree somewhat on this list. For pitcher Addisen Fisher is a no brainer and would be a shock if we get this kid. Cambri Salmon is solid and I hear going on a visit at some point here.

For outfielders also agree Townsen is probably the best outtie in the class. Speedy kid with pop and good coverage outfield.

At middle infield that Samya kid is the best prospect in this class with McDowell right behind her in my opinion. No other player has the speed, power, athleticism package that this kid has. McDowell is another good one, just not as polished and lacks the speed Samya has but has a ton of pop and a big time competitor. Allen is good but not as good as those two.

Disagree on catcher prospects. The Ramirez kid is good behind the plate but not stick isn't as strong as others. The Marceaux kid is good but she is raw and inconsistent at the plate too. Scott decent but not a top recruit. Catcher is a tough one to identify.

Jones, Mcdowell, Townsen, Fisher and Salmon should be at the top of TX's list.

If LSU pulls these two kids they are right back in the conversation of relevance for SEC in 2024/25. TX can't let these two kids leave TX if they can help it.

Good news is OU got a pitcher commit so keeps them away from Fischer.

Townsen and Fischer would make us a contender for awhile with Kavan, Henry, Stewart in the class in front.

Allen is the better bat of Mcdowell and Jones from what i've seen.

Agree didn't see any catchers that impressed me but we for sure take a catcher a class. I didn't watch many California teams play this year so unless there is one not sure who we go after.

Rumor is that it is a matter of time and Fisher is UCLA bound. Not sure about Townsen. She'd be a great addition though. Fisher, Townsen and Jones would be the true dream get though. Operative word is "dream" get, but maybe we can make some magic happen.

You must not have watched them much because Jones by far is the better hitter of those 3 and it isn't close as a complete hitter. McDowell has more pure strength-related power than both of them. Allen is a good hitter though--Jones is just more complete with similar power to Mcdowell (maybe a little less) but hits for a much better average and the Jones kid is on the right side but that kid can RUN like a Power 5 elite slapper and has a beautiful swing--big time package. Allen is pretty athletic too with good speed. Just think Ella is better impact than Allen. I've watched these 3 kids play alot.

Heard OU just picked up a big time catcher from Cali. Not sure if we need a catcher but if so, it is probably not a full scholarship kid.

Townsen was on an official this past weekend. So far she has seen LSU and us. Imagine she'll take all 5 officials.

Finally getting some news on official visits! Paislie Allen would be a great get! Her commenting "an unforgettable visit" must be good!

Looks like Townsen Thomas, Cambria Salmon and Paislie Allen were on visits this weekend from looks of things. Can't believe they didn't have Addisen Fisher or Samya Jones with that crew, unless someone has swooped them up already and it just hasn't been announced. Next few weeks should reveal more with visits.

Did see a post by Townsen Thomas about her recruiting journey and sounds like she will have some kind of surgery to her leg. But she got a lot of interest as one would expect. I think she might be a long shot. I think we have a better shot at the Allen kid than Thomas, Jones, Salmon or Fisher. But if we can get any of 3 of these we would be sitting pretty. Key is adding one of those arms. If someone packages 3 of these kids they'll have one of the best classes in the country. Don't know if Fisher or Jones will be visiting Texas. Fingers crossed........

Looks like SaMya was at Purdue this past weekend. Found out she has a big time teammate that she is close to headed to Purdue in the 2023 class (Polar is top ranked outfielder in that class). Education seems to be important to her, but we have a damn good education at the 40 Acres too!! Come get both worlds young lady. I'm sure she will take 5 visits--we need to be one of them.

Ella McDowell was at Tennessee. Rumored Arkansas is odds on favorite for her. But she has been to AZ, TN and ARK. She's good, but Jones and Allen more athletic and more versatile. Samya (LSU & Purdue visit so far). Allen (UNT & TX visit so far). Townsen (LSU and TX so far).

Heard nothing on Fisher. Eerily quiet around her. I smell a west coast school there.

Addisen Fisher @OU Camp this past weekend. Guessing UCLA is coming up for her. No TX visit yet. Rumored UCLA or UW.

Townsen Thomas was at Washington this past weekend. Doesn't look like she committed, probably because she has a couple more visits left. Big time recruit that I don't think we will get.

Samya Jones at Tennessee this past weekend. Doesn't look like she committed, probably for same reason Thomas hasn't. And she is another big time recruit that I don't think we will get--No TX visit yet. Been hearing rumors LSU

Rumor is Ella McDowell and Cameryn Harrison are all but committed to Arkansas.

Peyton Tanner (Jones' teammate) committed to Tennessee. One of the best pitchers in TX but I don't think we were courting this one.

No news on Cambria Salmon. Hear Oregon and UW main competitors for her services. Might nab her, as I don't see us getting Fisher.

No news on the Allen kid. Think we might get her. Solid player but not my first choice out of TX.

Jada Bubke from Magnolia and Texas Blaze committed to Washington. With her, and the football coachs daughter committed to Washington could help us with Tia Milloy.

We are for sure in the running for:
    Townsen Thomas
    Paislie Allen
    Tia Milloy
    Cambria Salmon

Thanks for putting up these names, but I they are totally unrecognizable to me. Weird how the names of the 2022 and 2023 class seemed familiar leading up to their commitments, but drawing total blank on these 2024s.

-Allen for sure. She’s an easier get than most discussed in this forum.. She only visited UNT as far as I know.
-Townsen and Tia I question seriously. Tia was just at OU. My money is Tia goes OU or west coast (Oregon or UCLA)
-Salmon we can get—hopefully. But may have serious competition for her.

Not familiar with the Bubke kid. But if you’re not familiar with Samya Jones, Townsen Thomas, Ella McDowell, Addison Fisher, Tia Milloy or Salmon you’re probably just not as aware of the 24 class as the 22/23 class. Can understand the Bubke name.

Per Extra Inning softball rankings class of 2024:
Townsen Thomas #1 ranked out fielder - Bellaire Tx
Paislie Allen #5 ranked middle infielder - Lewisville Tx
Tia Milloy #39 ranked middle infielder - Redmond Washington
Cambria Salmon #4 ranked pitcher - Beaumont California

I just got base off what I saw and if Coach Sing was there often.

The late contact rules of softball have really slowed everything down. Girls are no longer taking one visit at 13 and committing. They are taking 3 to 5 officials.
Just updating the ones who have committed.

Rankings helpful and good indicator but flawed with politics. Milloy is better than 39 and is better player than Allen for sure although Allen is solid.

I see other schools having camps and instructional clinics almost every weekend. But nothing from Texas! I guess I shouldn’t be concerned? Texas had Great recruiting classes in 22 & 23. But I sure wish we heard more about what is happening with the 24 class. We need some of the elite players! Ugh. :idk:

She's a solid player. Plays with Ella McDowell and Harrison. They may follow.
