I live in the Austin area (Bastrop) and did the hoop jumping at the beginning of the season to get the LHN on my tablet via the ESPN app, then the plan was to stream it to my TV. Ultimately got a "you are not eligible" message. I shrugged my shoulders then just listened to the game on the radio. I really want to be able to see the game against UTSA, thus does anyone have any advice on procuring the LHN?

Vidgo will provide a good option for cable/tv and probably at a smaller price point. They do carry the LHN.

I'll invite you to my house, but you'd have to bring PopCorners.

Why wouldn't someone in the Austin area be able to get cable or DirecTV in order to have LHN?

Even though my loyalty and what kind of fan I am because I speak my mind about the program has been called in to question by some people around here, I have to pay for the highest tier sports package with crap I couldn't care less about and will never watch just to get LHN.

How hard is it in Texas?

Fwiw cable like Comcast, does not have LHN. I complained to them frequently in the beginning but have acquiesced.

Again, I have DirecTV for one reason and one reason only: To have LHN. It is widely available in Texas.

And, it used to be part of basic sports packages.

Dish also has it, and just a 1 level upgrade, not top tier. If you live in an apartment or such and can't put up a dish then streaming as mentioned, Sling (owned by Dish) and Vidgo.

You have to buy the correct package (don't recall is its Orange or Blue) plus the Sports package. Since it is a streaming service you can order it for 1 month then cancel. Would cost in the neighborhood of $45 to watch the game.

OP has been a member here since 2001 and has 298 posts. Has not been back since the minute this thread was posted, so I assume it must have been a joke. I feel silly now for actually trying to help. If you want help on something and then never come back to follow up, who cares?

    Pickle_Nuts Will travel with tickets.

Jay Deez in La Grange would be my recommendation.

Southside Meat Market has two large TVs on their patio. I know they have cable or satellite or something to bring games in. Might call and ask them if they can get the game.

Sling Orange + Sports Extra. Not a bad package.

This is an aside, but about 20 years ago Southside turned a 400 lb wild hog I took in the woods not far away into sausage for me. We ate and gave away links for about 2 years. Since my house is near the Capital in Austin, I thought that was pretty cool.. Back then there was no LN so I didn't notice the TV's or lack thereof!
