While it is a step closer to the "big time", or in his case "prime time", ASU comes with NCAA in residence breathing down your neck 24/7.

Shocked I am. Look at how many schools consider Texas their rival

I don't know what he's bitchin about, at least he can go pee at halftime without fear of being mugged or taken to the hospital. He's not going to change the minds of 23 fans that attend their home games, unless of course they are playing FSU, Florida State, ND in which case every trailer park, crack house, tattoo parlor in Dade County are emptied.

We took a much needed break from aggy (which I fully supported). I'm sure the folks up north are tired of their little brother's crap and could use a break as well.

The media is gonna milk the "Texas spent tons of money wining and dining Arch to get him signed.
I'd like to see them do a story on how much other top programs spend.

This is the bad side of Arch Manning coming to Texas. Every possible flaw will be exposed to counter the massive free press Texas will be receiving

Funny how the media thinks Arch would need to be wowed by expensive hotels etc.

It ain't like he's ever had to stay in a Motel 6, or even Comfort Inn.

Watch the INT return for a touchdown, and at the end of the run pay special attention to the UTSA cheerleaders reacting to the score. There is some real gold happening on the sidelines there.

I once read that the problem with the old SWC was that there was only 1 rivaly: aTm vs Texas, SMU vs Texas, TCU vs Texas, Arkansas vs Texas, Baylor vs Texas, tech vs Texas, Rice vs Texas & UH vs Texas.

I have a friend whose father was President of the student body at Tech in the late 30s & my friend was in the late 60s. I learned from them that Tech had a serious hatred for TCU because it was TCU that kept Tech out of SWC for a few decades. That anger was obviously transferred toward Austin in the late 60s. I would have thought Tech would have animosity towards A&M for preventing them from having a Vet school for nearly 100 years. I've always wondered why Preston Smith didn't get Tech a Vet school when he got them the medical school in 69.

If Edwin was still alive & Governor, the Louisiana AG (aided by Jones-Walker & Adams & Reese) would file suit in NOLA driving up the NCAA's legal fees to seven figures resulting in a compromise of paying half the fine with no admission of wrongdoing while doubling the number of official visits allowed for LSU.

NCAA's other option is a lot less pleasant.

He did, but it was not funded until recently thanks to jealous aggy not wanting competition.
