What's happening to our electricity rate. Unbelievable. And again, who's head is rolling for this? Nobody's.

Got notice here in Katy of an addition charge too.

And what's ridiculous about that increase is that it is accounting for the £2,500 cap that the government is imposing (and pissing away £150 billion to do so). Seriously, the idiots who did this green crap in Europe should be hanged.

You are growing appropriately more radical.

It's not going to directly hurt me. We get a housing allowance funded by the be American taxpayer that's going to cover this. However, as one of those taxpayers, it does bug me to get collectively ripped off. Furthermore, I have friends and neighbors who aren't as fortunate as I am, and this stuff really hurts them.

However, what really enrages me is the lack of accountability. There should be a political price to pay for this and a massive loss of credibility by the green energy lobby. That isn't happening. The media and the public are largely just blaming Putin for the invasion, and the appropriate question of why Putin has this kind of leverage on the European consumer isn't asked. If the green energy promise had serious validity, none of this would be happening.

    Nail on the head
There SHOULD be political price for this.
    Why isn't there?

Because the media is **** and doesn't do its job. They're covering the energy hikes, but they're not asking about and exploring the obvious issue. Why is Europe so dependent on Russian energy? Obviously, a part of it is the development of the Russian oil and gas industry and the attempt to incorporate Russia into the West after the fall of the Soviet Union. Because of proximity, Europe was an obvious trading partner.

However, Europe also shutdown many domestic energy sources for environmental reasons on the promise of the big transition to renewables. The plan wasn't Russian energy. It was solar and wind. The mere need for Russian energy should have been a red flag. After all, you don't save the environment burning Russian oil rather than North Sea oil.

In addition, even if they missed that big red flag, why didn't anyone at least tap the brakes back in 2014 with the annexation of Crimea? We're scrambling to get other energy sources now, but that takes too long to get any relief anytime soon. However, what if they had put the brakes on the idiocy in 2014 when it became clear that Putin was interested in territorial expansion and therefore a threat? True, we can't develop new energy sources in six months like we're trying to now, but we could have in six years. Why didn't anyone? Those kinds of issues should be major stories. They aren't, because they're politically inconvenient.

I don't know if I'm happy or sad that the European media is just as terrible as the American media - failing to ask politically inconvenient questions.

They're worse, and there's less opportunity for dissenting views to access the public. That's a big reason why the green agenda gets traction there. Rarely does anyone hear an opposing view.

But surely everyone knows that by now. So aren't the common folk wondering what's the downside to an issue?

I want to encourage all climate protesters to set themselves on fire in solidarity with this man. I am sure Earth's atmosphere can handle all the CO2 emissions your group immolations will generate, and you'll be assisting with the overpopulation problem at the same time!

Don't forget about helping resolve hunger issues with the communities that don't mind a little char on their meat...however, looking at most in that group, there won't be a lot of meat on the bones.

It's one of the biggest double standards in the media. If it's hot, climate change is always the reason. If it's cold and someone asks if that undermines the narrative, you get the pretentious, douchie retort that climate and weather aren't the same things.

Steve Koonin was on Obama's staff too. Wish these guys would have had their eureka moments when they were still in power.

It's probably why they're not in power now. They're left-leaning, but they have their limits. They're not willing to engage in full blown lunacy.

How in the hell did those 2 maniacs have enough time to do that? There is usually a guard/docent in every room
Plus not one single other visitor would stop them from gluing themselves to wall?
