Im almost tempted to change my pick to WVU. We really need to see Texas turn the corner and consistently beat teams less talented than us.

We're 2-6 at home against the Stillers.

And they're the only program in the conference with a winning record against us.

In the SEC, is Vandy the only team with a winning record against us?

Also, I'd be SMH, but I'd be happy with 53-4.

    I believe this is correct.

But there are several teams UT owns a slight lead in games won in the series. Off the top of my head: LSU, Tenn., FL, GA.

I wasn't thinking two safeties. I was thinking a FG and a defensive conversion safety. But sure, I guess it could be two safeties as well.

The line has been all over the place this week, but the consensus seems to be Texas -9 as of a little while ago, with the O/U setting in around 63.

The Couch Burners have been averaging almost 43 points per game whilst allowing 27.5. They gave up 55 to Kansas in a game that had an O/U of 59.5. And, this was in a game they were favored by two touchdowns. Their per game average was bolstered by the 65 against Mid-City Junior High School for the Blind, err Towson. However, they have also managed to post more than 31 in the other three games. They held VaTech to 10 points but it turns out VaTech isn't really that good (after all, they only put up 27 against the vaunted W-sips).

They come in 2-2 straight up and are 3-1 ATS, with three games going over.

Texas, meanwhile, has averaged 36.5, a number somewhat depressed by the 19 against ALA. They allow 21.8, a number that increased after the poor showing in Tortillaland last week.

Interesting stats for the week are that WVU is 7-1 ATS in their last eight games against an opponent coming off of an overtime game. They have also gone 3-0 ATS in the last three games at Texas.

Texas HAS the capacity to hold this team in check. However, it WILL require that Sark make adjustments at the half. We cannot play like the second half of a game doesn't matter. How they failed so miserably to take advantage of DemO's return last week is beyond me.

WVU puts the ball in the air an average of 37 times a game and is averaging 271 per game through the air. They also average more than five per rush, so they HAVE the potential to be problematic. They also hold opponents to an average of less than 100 yards on the ground and just over 200 yards passing. This week will let us know if that was a by-product of playing the likes of Towson.

I am making my prediction on a presumption that we get another week of Card at QB and that Roschon and #DijonMustardson will be splitting carries.

I think the WVU trend ATS continues and I believe the game goes over.

I had a players only meeting this week, which included myself and the wife, and it was a very positive meeting. I explained the importance of getting the previous week in the rearview mirror and moving on to the next opponent.

After four hours, the wife was pumped and ready to go that day! We are coming out this week with something to prove and will promise the following:

    Texas - 45
    WVU - 30

If I had known that Sark was going to throw to Sanders and JWhitt, I would have made a different prediction.
