Would that all college coaches showed this much class.

Matharu did start following Ole Miss Coach Yolette on Instagram; we'll see if anything comes of that.

Glad to see there is some tweaking of the transfer portal rules being conducted.

So, transfer as often as you want with no penalty. Sounds like free agency to me.

I was hoping for 1 free transfer as undergrad, 1 as a grad. Beyond that, have to sit a season - no appeals, no exceptions.

I think Sonya Morris is in Austin according to her story

Out of curiosity, did anyone see any type of transfer portal rankings? I would have to think Texas had one of if not the best transfer haul in the country.

So I guess this is called the Shaylee effect? Pretty impressive:

I know nothing about her, but we do still one 'ship available for the upcoming season. Even if she is not eligible immediately, those are big scoring numbers.

I’m sure we have all seen the Mulkey news and former players speaking out against Mulkey but, Hannah Gusters has now spoken out and I thought she was on the LSU team for the upcoming season. But when you go to the roster she is no longer listed on there so I don’t know if she’s in the portal or what’s going on. Something had to happen recently because I swear I remember her being on the roster a few weeks ago.

As far as Gusters, she "chose" Mulkey twice. Once to go to Baylor, and once to follow her to LSU. Even I though I don't know the issues she's faced, Gusters is responsible for basically making the same choice twice.

At the Mulkey/LSU press conference, a journalist asked what the expectation was for Hannah Gusters this year and Mulkey replied. So this must be a new development.

Vic's not having a problem with the transfer portal. In fact, Texas is benefiting from it.

Lose #28 Lauren Ebo (Notre Dame), Add #11 Taylor Jones (Oregon State)
Lose #30 Aliyah Matharu (Florida), Add #19 Sonya Morris (DePaul)
Lose UR Audrey Warren (Georgia), Add #25 Shaylee Gonzales (BYU)
Lose UR Lataha Lattimore (Miami), Add UR Khadija Faye (Texas Tech)
Lose UR Kobe King-Hawea (James Madison)

Of all the players Texas lost, I really wish we could've held onto Latasha. The flashes she showed last season really had me hyped for her development and impact.

A bit surprised 6'6 Stephanie Soares did not make the list. Then again, it is very difficult to project a top NAIA player to the big leagues. Our games with ISU should be an interesting matchup.

Going to be really interesting to see how she does with D1 competition. I also still have to wonder - did we ever offer? It seems like we were all hung up on Stephanie while the staff was busy recruiting Taylor.

And of all the players we didn't get, I wish we would have reeled in Rickea Jackson. No worries, we are in great shape.

AC is signaling any shortcomings she might have this season are not her fault. When asked what her goals for this year on and off the court are she responded “to unlearn the harmful things that were put into my head at my last institution and let myself be great again”. I guess that’s also why she didn’t end up at Stanford…

Petty and bitter. I think she found the perfect institution to further her basketball career

Oh my goodness she needs to grow up! She has been speaking bad about Texas since she left and it’s old. I guarantee none of this would have been said had she been playing but since she got benched then Texas is just the worst place to be at. Give me a break:rolleyes1:

Also where did you find this? Was it an interview or media day?

Chevalier is hilarious. She fits right in with the clown, Krista Gerlich, at the circus, Texas Tech.

    * Unlearn how to win the Big 12 Championship.
    * Unlearn how to how to become an NCAA tournament team.
    * Unlearn how to become a back-to-back elite 8 team.

Some kids just don't want to change or be tested outside their comfort zone. There's a price to pay to be great.

It'll be fun to watch the "good game" hand shake line after the games.

Sedona Prince Part 2. Eventually, enough time will pass and the shelf life on her “story” will be stale and irrelevant.

She says it best herself, as this interviewer thinks to herself, "man, this girl be trippin". Per Ashley: "there's science to it . . . like at the end of the day, there's chemical imbalances happening in my head" (yes Ashley, we all realize that by now. Time to move on):

It’s apparent that AC and Kyndall are close. So with your bestie in your ear with so much ill will towards Texas it can’t be good for her as much as I hate to say that.

Wow, when you have an over-inflated ego that is supported by everyone around you (whether justified or not) I guess it is very, very difficult to move along. Everyone around her must also be petty and vindictive because no one is advising her to shut the h*ll up.

Exactly……AND….let’s be honest folks. Vic has a program to run. He can refer you for help, be encouraging, etc, BUT bottom line is he is a coach, NOT a therapist. If your mental health precludes you from being a part of the program, you need to move on. She has found the perfect situation where Gerlich hates Vic enough to take you, USE YOU as a pawn, and help keep you in VICTIM MODE, NONE of which truly helps you to heal. I hope she’s ready for the ball hounding defensive intensity she will face when we play them, because trust me, ITS COMING in spades….. I don’t doubt her struggles, but everything seemed fine til Rori took the reins.

The only damage to AC is the realization that she's not near as good as she thought. That's on her and her circle of people.
