What an environment. Wish I could be there. The team is really feeding off of each other unlike any since probably the year after the Final Four run.

The new Moody look and feel is sooooo much better - much more of a hyped up intimate basketball environment. It’s so special to see this type of court that fans have been screaming for since Penders, come to reality.

Timmy Allen has had a terrible game and we're still playing this well. Imagine if he was actually playing great? It might be a 30-point game.

Horn extremely impressive tonight. They shot lights out, I am most impressed with the defense. The Moody center definitely makes a difference. True basketball atmosphere.

Once again Christopher Michael Del Conte has created an incredible environment and gameday experience. While Billie Powers and Patterson sat around playing switch and pissing off the Austin City Council, losing that deal sharing a building with the City of Austin was truly a blessing in disguise.

Just a reminder that this $325-350 million facility was built at no expense to The University (ok, but land was paid for), then he got the Moody family to throw in $150 million for the naming rights. Damn we got lucky getting Del Conte.

Well that was fun. Feel like in recent years we would have blown that lead and turned it into a nail biter at the end. Good start to the season.

What a game. Thank goodness for Beard and the transfer portal.

I think the Zags got away from Timme too early in the evening in favor of the 3-point contest. It actually would have been a decent strategy if Texas shot 3's like we had been the last two games. Coming out after the half, they could have really cut into our lead if they slowed it down and played patiently with Timme getting his touches. Mark Few doesn't get outcoached very often.

I'm really impressed by how Disu has improved and the energy we get from Hunter and Rice. Everyone else was mad feeding off it.

So nice to see energy in Moody! It shows you how truly TERRIBLE the Erwin Center was! Having a “true student section” is SOOOOOOO GREAT!

Best game I’ve seen the horns play in years. Since TJ Ford’s team. Players were incredibly well prepared for the Zags. Timmie was reduced to an average center. Our guys were moving without the ball creating opportunities for open shots and our new backcourt was knocking down shots. Mitchell is really athletic, showing his skill slamming down monster dunks.
And our lack of height didn’t slow down our rebounding. Positioning and hustle and toughness by our guys overwhelmed the Zags in the paint.
Beard has put something special together. It’s going to be a fun year. :hookem3::hookem3::mj::hammertime:

Old versions of us absolutely would have. This squad looks like a deep group of young guys with athleticism, skill, good IQ’s and most importantly, tremendous passion. Im feeling good about this season.

i'm no basketball guru but i've watched many UT games over the past 40 years and I have to say, this team looks the most talented out of all of the teams I've seen play here and thats saying a lot.

I saw the game from the beginning (or when the MAC game of the week was over). Wanted to post that I’ve seen enough - the team is good. Texas will likely reach the vaunted Sweet 16 for the first time in a long time. Glad also that Texas finally won an NCAA tourney game last year.

All of that and I still think the refs were too whistle happy against us (and that flop call was dumb). Carr played well, which is nice, but he still jacks threes a little too quickly and too often. It was working well in the first half though so what do I know.

    Great game!!!

until almost the end of the second half I was having flashbacks to 2017 and Texas blowing a big lead against Duke and losing a huge November game, it never happened, and that my friends is the difference for this team and this coach from years past. Beard is going to do some great things and I am super excited to see them.:hookem:

Vol Horn 4 Life Good Bye To All The Rest!

That was a complete and thorough beat down of the #2 team in the country. They wanted to hit the airport midway through the second half. That's what you describe as all gas no brakes. We came to win last night.
