    Yesterday on CNN the State of Our Union Mayorkas told Dana Bash DHS is ready to process 540,000 a month after title 42 is lifted.
    Is anyone ok with that?
    Can they get that many phones to give them?

    the dem's have so mis-played this. These images are going to resonant with any part of America that is not already hard core liberal. It will be hard watching this erosion of America over the summer but it will probably mean an extra 3-4 seats for the GOP by the time it is all said and done. GOP needs to get every dem on record for being "pro amnesty" over the summer. By the time September rolls around most of America will be angry over the way this Dem leadership handled immigration.

    But by then we will also have 2 or 3 more illegal immigrants leaching taxpayer money.

    Yes, people are okay with that because they know it's nearly 540,000 future Democrat voters per month!

    I've got a dad on my son's baseball team who works the oil fields in private Texas ranches. He said you won't believe they number of people who walk up to him and his colleagues to ask for water or food - and they're dressed better than he is! Of course the ranch won't let these workers carry guns into their property so all he has for protection is a knife.

    That surprises me since those ranchers know the illegals walk onto their property and likely do damage and leave garbage behind

    WTF
    foxnews.com/politics/illegal-migrants-wave-venezuelan-flag-crossing-us-southern-border-attack-border-patrol-agents
    "A massive group of illegal migrants on Monday crossed into the U.S. waving a large Venezuelan flag and, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP), attacked Border Patrol agents – before being pushed back into the river as agents used crowd control measures.

    The shocking incident, partially caught on video, saw a group of Venezuelan migrants crossing illegally into El Paso, Texas, as they waved the enormous flag. Agents can then be seen pushing migrants back into the river while firing pepper balls near them as crowd control.

    In a statement, CBP said a group of Venezuelans had attempted to illegally enter the U.S. while protesting along the Rio Grande’s international boundary.

    Push them back "into the river"? From the lower valley all the way to Country Club Road, the river is only about ten feet wide. Then if they let them it, what next? The traditional illegals wanted to get to Houston or Dallas. Turn these morons loose to figure out that it is 750-800 miles to Dallas or Houston and that's a damn long 750 miles.

    I have said for two plus decades that we are going to see the return of the Nueces Strip, which I'm not sure is a bad thing. Imagine a couple of thousand discharged Marines, Seals, & Rangers riding fence with orders to shoot first and ask questions later.

    When Governor Goodhair was in office, I told him that he had a whole bunch of F17 & F18s at Ellington Field in the Texas Air National Guard. A few buzzes along the Rio Grande followed by laying down some napalm just away from the river, might get their attention. Secondly, laying that napalm on the drug smugglers a couple of times just might slow down the imports.

    Me too. He didn't have an answer for what the ranches are doing about it. Makes me wonder what **** the feds give ranch owners for using security on the illegals. In a related story and how it came up, another dad is in the national guard. He works the boarder 4 days a week. He confirms it's a mad house.

    Governor Abbott just declared there is an invasion at our border.
    He is invoking special powers granted to states under the US Constitution.
    It is about time,

    It IS a start. Knowing a Demx judge will try to shut him down. They better hurry. I bet the plans are in place
    Gov. Greg Abbott declares immigration from Mexico to be invasion
    Gov. Abbott says the following steps will be taken by the state:

    • Deploy the National Guard to safeguard the border, and to repel and turn back immigrants trying to cross the border illegally
    • Deploy the Texas Dept. of Public Safety (DPS) to arrest and return immigrants to the border who crossed illegally, and to arrest illegal immigrants for criminal activity;
    • Build a wall in multiple counties on the border;
    • Deploy gun boats;
    • Designate Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations;
    • Enter into a compact with other states to secure the border;
    • Enter into agreements with foreign powers to enhance border security;
    • Provide resources for border counties to increase their efforts to respond to the "border invasion."

    6721,

    Again, I told Governor GoodHair that he had all those F-17/F18s out at Ellington with the Texas Air National Guard. Low Altitude passes down the Rio Grande and an occasional laying in of napalm and/or hail of bullets will work far better and be much cheaper than a damn wall, WHICH I have said for years needed to be built on the Southern border of Mexico.

    Shouldn’t NATO come in under Article 5?

    NATO will do what they always do, ask us to handle it. Option 2 would be to lease the fighter jets to ranchers along the Nueces Strip.

    The Guard that is there now can Not stop illegals or force them back. The Guard that is there now is doing non enforcement work intended to relieve border patrol agents so they can do the enforcement.
    But right now enforcement under Demx means releasing them with an "order to appear" date. And they never do
    If Abbott actually gets to carry out his plans it will mean the Guard etc can actually prevent them from entering Texas. Gunboats patrolling the RG can stop illegals from crossing.
    It is a major major step. We simply can't let millions illegally entering nor the billions in drugs nor the trafficking go on.
    Biden and Demx will do everything they can to stop Abbott

    Guy,

    I'm sure you already know, but just in case, those at the border now and in recent months are not what we have seen over the last 50 years. Not the people that snuck across, made it to Houston or the Metroplex, stood on street corners looking for work, lived 8, 10, 12 to an apartment or mobile home. When they got work, they sent the money back to Mexico to their families until they could get them here.

    While 10, 25, 50, 100 of them used the same name and social security number, they paid taxes for benefits they would never receive. As I was told 30 years ago in DC, they pay $4-5 billion into SS, and SS doesn't want to give that up.

    What we have now are people from Central & South America, many of whom are convicts, being exported to the US. Now add to that Afghanistan, middle east, and a few Asians, and you have a very unpleasant mix that Beto, Biden, et al think will vote Democrat. Not a group you want moving into your neighborhood or your kids having to grow up around.

    Don't need no stinkin laws or border.
    Demx will let them all in
    "The top Republicans on the House and Senate Judiciary Committees are calling for more information from the Biden administration on a recently announced program that would allow tens of thousands of Venezuelans to enter the U.S. using humanitarian parole – calling it a "flagrant violation" of federal law.
    DHS announced the program as part of a new cooperation agreement with Mexico. The parole program provides a legal pathway for Venezuelan nationals to enter the U.S. Capped at just 24,000, the agency said the humanitarian parole program requires Venezuelans to have a supporter in the U.S. to provide financial and other support, pass biometric and other security screenings, and complete public health requirements, including vaccinations.(HA) It's similar to a program announced earlier in the year for eligible Ukrainians.
    The Republican lawmakers say the program "ignores congressional intent and departs from how past administrations have exercised case-by-case parole authority."

    "Even worse, it does nothing to secure the southern border or prevent the continued and unprecedented surge of aliens across that border," they write."
    Jordan, Grassley demand docs on Venezuelan parole program, slam ‘flagrant violation’ of federal law

    They literally don't care. The loss of the House was not enough of a baseball bat to the side of the head for them to alter their course. They are literally the most stubborn political movement in recent memory. They have an end game and allowing them over is how they get there. They will deal with short-term losses for the future vision.

    Compared to what was predicted to be a red wave losing the House to them is nothing. If they get enough ‘new’ voters they’ll never lose. That is the end game.

    I'm not sure that Venezuelans would be particularly likely to vote Democratic. Most people who support the Left are those who never lived under their rule. Most who have reject the Left.

    I know a few Venezuelans. They are hard conservatives. I expect a chunk of any immigrants would be the same after living through the hell they are in. There government has taken over everything and it has led to poverty, hunger, and murder. They most likely will see government interventions as a BAD thing.

    The point IMO should be We are not the World's savior.
    We can not take in everyone. Are there really only 24,000 Venezuelans who need help?
    Isn't the mission of the UN to provide humanitarian aid?
