At this point, I'm not worried about any player that's not on the UT roster. If it was meant for them to be on the team then they would be on it. And Jackson State's a legit team. We'll find out soon enough when we play them on the road. That game is going to be very competitive.

Same here, but I am just as happy with Muhammad (and Jack for that matter, even though she is a wing).

Can someone please explains what happened to OU’s defense? It was never great, but Utah just dropped 41 on them in the 3rd quarter! Izzy Palmer in double digits off the bench. OU looks like a train wreck this year.

Wow Oklahoma absolutely destroyed 124-78. Has to be the worst defensive team in the country. Easily the worst in the big 12.

Not sure there's any explanation for this. I thought they were returning almost their whole roster? This box score is ridiculous. They shouldn't be ranked after this.

Currently, they rank 314 out of 349 teams for Scoring Defense.

    So, so happy.

Is Baranczyk's strategy to outscore opponents at the expense of defense? What is she going to do next season when Madi Williams and Taylor Robertson graduate? Sherri Cole didn't leave the cupboard bare and it will be interesting to see how the program takes shape after Cole's players are no longer around for their leadership and point production.

Explanation... this is what happens when you don't shoot the ball at a high percentage (it's not uncommon) and play ZERO defense. If you play good defense you're always going to have a chance to compete.

    Maybe.

Is she fast and loose with player’s grades, call them up drunk in the middle of the night, spin her coat out onto the floor and have a nice tan?

I used to LOVE watching Sheri stomping around the court tantruming in her stilettos. Kinda turned me on.

I remember thinking how bad OU's defense was last season as they got dominated by Ayoka Lee at KSU. Next game, OU beats us in Norman. So, I'll reserve judgement based on my thoughts one season ago.

I'm SORRY (not sorry), but either I had a typo in my head or OU's ranking dropped even lower, but today they are ranked 341 out of 349.

Now hold on a minute friends. This is just what....4 games for them. After all, our beloved Texas team is ranked tied at 166 in Scoring Defense. Small sample size for everyone.

So I looked up OU's season Scoring Defense rank for the 2021-2022 year and they were.....343 out of 348. But, look at their record. And, a shock to me, look who was dead last!!!!

Big upset tonight in Manhattan, Kansas as Kansas State gets an 84-83 win over #4 ranked Iowa. Big game from OU transfer Gabby Gregory. Wild finish as KSU was called for a foul on Iowa's final possession. After a replay review, the refs determined the foul occurred after the game clock expired. The Wildcats were taking and making a lot of threes. Gregory was the exception, going strong to the hoop and drawing a number of fouls.

Way to go Kansas State! Even if Iowa is over-rated.

Dear Oklahoma: HA HA HA HA!

She needed to just keep the ball high and put that in right away instead of bending down and gathering before springing back up.

This really sucks. I believe her and Sonya are friends from the old high school days when they played at rival schools. I've noticed Aijha liking some of Sonya's social media stuff in the past. Hoping she can come back this season. I've seen her projected as a high WNBA draft pick

Iowa State and Kansas State rolled today. Iowa State wins by 31 over a 6-0 Mich State. Soared went for 23 and 11 bounds. Joens for 8. The team is playing inside out due to Soares. Totally different offensive philosophy. Still trying to find the correct mix but winning by 31 says the’re close. Joens is having to compromise her impact and stats.

Sounds like Soares will definitely make them better. However, it looks like Mich. St. finished 15-15 last season (8-9 in conf). Didn't qualify for post-season play. They have no all-conf. players and aren't picked to finish in the top 1/2 of the BIG10. The combined records of their opponents before Iowa St was only 9-21 (and these are all creampuffs). So that 6-0 mark for Mich St. was a bit misleading. It looks like Mich. St. started 4 guards (all 5-10 and under) plus a 6-3 F. They were clearly overmatched. Iowa St. plays #8 N. Car. on Sunday @ 6:30 pm, #9 Iowa on 12/7, and #23 Villanova on 12/18. Will be interested to see how those games go, because the rest of their schedule is a complete joke.

Iowa St blows a 17 point lead and loses by 9 to North Carolina

ISU had 3 turnovers in a row trying to run inbounds plays in the last 30 seconds
