$$$$ Jerrah is smarter than us.

We can all see Cooper might have made a HUGE difference in this game. A win vs a loss!?

EXACTLY what I'm saying. Jerrah is a Master of selling women's pantys; also bras, corsetts, etc (with Cowboy Stars). And people (1sahorn exclussive) buy his ****. He has a self perpetuating gold mine & he don't need no more stinking Lombardi Trophies. Maybe when he's gone & Stephie holds the reigns, but not before.

Lol while it's funny, Jerry fielded a very talented team yesterday.

And, while I love Cooper, our WRs are very talented.

Pollard's broken leg and Dak sucking are why we lost.

how many catches did those other WR's have in the game?

Gallup would have had one if Dak didn't suck.

Lamb is not a lead possession receiver, and Gallup isn't a strong alternate, so Cooper made both look better than they are.

After listening to Stephen over the past couple of years, I am not sure that he is just a bigger and fatter guy than Jerrah - the business dollars over winning.

So now Jerrah has got to keep Pollard, another Cooper to unleash Lamb and Gallup, and probably hire a proven DC.

    Agreed.

no matter the play called, a QB does his own reads and has his own biases/security blankets. Dak waited too long multiple times, but others went right to Lamb.

Did zeke, who was the center on that play, get steamrolled or what?

On Stephen, he’s just a clone of his pops.
The nut doesn’t fall far from the tree.

I think you nailed it! Jerry just meddles to much and interferes with the with the coaches. But he thinks he is a football guru and also takes the credit for any successes, by saying "I was heavily involved (with the success being discussed)". I can't stand the guy.

Unfortunately he is being paid as though he is "the guy." And with his contract, the Cows are stuck with him for the duration.

Dak's mistakes and poorly thrown balls are the primary reason Dallas lost, IMO. But the holding penalty on the sack of Purdy and the dropped INT by Diggs were two plays winning teams don't make. At that level, in that game, one mistake can be the difference. Good teams don't make them. Some teams find a way to win; others find a way to lose. Kinda reminds me of Texas the last 12 years or so.

when has he been good? He is leading the NFL in INTs and pick 6's.

He was the 2nd best QB Sunday. The other was a true rookie.

And an average QB. They have a proven DC, Quinn. The defense has not been the problem.

You know who is underappreciated but has come up big time and again these past two years?

The Cincy D that’s who. The QB gets his assed kissed, but the entire team rises up, particularly the D. The year before that it was the Bucs D that won it. It’s about the D making plays at opportune times. The Cowboys D didn’t.

Not really a big NFL guy, only watched bits and pieces of game last night, but the way I remember Dak’s contract, everybody on ESPN, radio, and social media was mad at Jerry for not paying him. Well, they got what they wanted and Jerry finally paid him, so…..

He's Kirk Cousins. Or maybe like Jameis Winston but you could bring him home to mom. He's just a dude who plays QB and does it well sometimes and not well other times. He's definitely not a champion (even in HS).

Statistically, I was impressed with how close (career success-wise) he was to the following:
    Andrew Luck
    Brian Sipe
    Danny White

Dak's salary isn't the problem. They'd have to pay a QB no matter who was playing that position. They could have pulled the trigger 2 years sooner and gotten him for $30MM/year instead of $40MM, but that's the rate for starters now. Unless they're still on the rookie contract.

If we're going to ***** and moan about the salary cap, the Cowboys are still eating La'el Collins' cap hit, and guys like Zeke and Gallup definitely aren't worth their hit.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

The Dallas D gave up several FG's and held SF to 19 points.

Could Dak and the high powered O not get 20 or 21?

    3 TD's to win???

That last contract was not smart. I said several years ago they should package zeke and Dak for a high draft choice plus more. At that time they were considered to have a lot of “star quality” upside. That ship has sailed.

Well sure that could have done the trick. Last year there were 12 playoff games. The loser scored equal to or fewer points than the 49ers in 8 of those 12. Two winners scored less than the 49ers did.

When Diggs is dropping the pick, the Bengals are making the play. Fumble return TD versus the Ravens this year. Game saving pick versus the Titans last year. Same for the KC game. The most points the Bengals gave up in 4 games last year was 24 in an OT game. All 1 score games. 9 turnovers forced. I don’t think their K missed anything. The Bucs the year before created 9 turnovers.

Im not certain the 49ers don’t score more if they’re not focused on running clock their last two drives. So 19 points allowed with no turnovers created defensively in the playoffs is solid, but to get to the Super Bowl you’ll likely need the D to save the day at least once.

Dallas is a good team, with talent and a solid D. I would argue though that of the eight teams that played last weekend, there were probably the 6th or 7th best.

They played well against a team that is immensely talented on both sides of the ball. Dominant. So is Philadelphia. And while I believe that “perhaps” talent-wise Cincinnati may not measure up — although they were dominant Sunday — they appear to have a very special player at QB.

My point is simply that Dallas, while they made a very good showing, is not in the same league as the four remaining teams. So the lost yesterday was was not unexpected. That same team, with Burrows, Mahomes, Hurts, Herbert, or perhaps even Trevor Lawrence would probably have won the game. It’s not really a knock on Dak. Simply, he is not an elite quarterback. Neither is Brock Purdy. The difference though is the cast around each of them. The 49ers don’t need a transcendent player at quarterback because the talent around him is so overwhelming.
