The DFW area is getting hit with some more of that global warming Al Gore foretold of decades ago. The roads aren’t too bad yet (emphasis on yet). The problem is that it won’t get above freezing for quite some time and more freezing rain is on the way. Be careful out there.

Best to stay off roads if one can. Conserve electricity, although ERCOT doesn't expect any major issues.

I have to drive from Central Texas to the DFW National Cemetery on Wednesday morning. I am not looking forward to it.

Please don't cancel school in Austin. Need that sweet, sweet quiet time at home tomorrow and Wednesday!

Not bad here in Arlington. Not raining - had some light rain earlier this morning. Still cold! Drove my wife to a Physical Therapy session; roads not bad at all.
My BSF class meets in Fort Worth on Monday evening; my leader has already sent an email to set us up for Zoom tonight instead of in-person -- apparently roads are a bit worse in Fort Worth.

It might be Thursday before we get and stay above freezing for any substantial period of time (or at all). A lot more freezing rain is projected for tonight, so it looks like the typical once or twice per winter DFW ice storm. Many school districts are announcing no school tomorrow. Might be out for Wednesday as well, we’ll see.

No major electric issues are forecasted. The gas still flows!

Shouldn't get below freezing for long down in Round Rock. That didn't stop the schools from all closing tomorrow. If there is even an outside chance of ice they shut everything down.

We're sitting in a villa in Cabo overlooking the Bay as the whales breach. Our Texas relatives are considering staying an extra day or two. *******. We're headed back to Colorado on Wednesday.

We went whale watching today. But honestly we saw as many yesterday sitting out by the pool. A lot closer today to them but not as many.

I highly recommend being retired (with enough) to do stuff like this.

My brother who lives in small town in Texas asked me one time if all these places we go are that much different than Texas.

    Yes, yes they are.. ....

Still okay here in Arlington. Not raining, but very cold. Needless to say I have scrubbed golf for this week!:(

It stands to reason...it is saving North Texas from worse conditions since Oklahoma just sucks...and in this case, is sucking some of the cold and ice...

Courses in deep east Texas will be soggy and unplayable for at least a week. Rain 7 days in a row ending Thursday. Fairways will be a mess in mid February

My brother in Collin County doesn't play when it's under 40*, his tee times are at 8am on weekdays. Gonna be awhile

Approximately 150 total customers out in DFW area. Not bad.

If we had only elected Beta, that number would be much, much smaller. Can there be any doubt?

If you live in the Oncor Service territory- Customers can report outages and receive updates by registering for MyOncor text alerts by texting “REG” to 66267, downloading the MyOncor App and following Oncor on Facebook and Twitter, or calling 888.313.4747.
