    Nice article.
Interesting that both QBs in SuperBowl are proud and open Christians. Great role models.

    Purdy, too...from what i hear/read.

    Don't know much about Hurts

I will tell you...I have a lot of friends/family/connections in the Tyler, TX area, and Pat has a very stellar reputation

Ill say this, to be such a huge superstar, he sure comes across well...all too uncommon these days.

This taught him that underhand pass is a better option than running.

Without looking it up, anyone recall the QB who came in for Mahomes and finished that game? I was surprised when I looked up the game stats as I had completely forgotten who he was and that he had even played for Tech.

    Hint:
He's the son of a long-time NFL quarterback

    Answer:
    Vincent Testaverde

I lived in Tyler for over 20 years, including the years from when Mahomes was a kid to getting drafted by the Chiefs. Pat and my son were a year apart. I always coached Little League and was fortunate that my son made All Stars every year. Pat made All Stars every year too and I was able to coach Pat every other year during All Stars. He was very respectful. Always “yes sir” or “no sir”. Was supportive of every kid on his teams. Not sure where the great attitude and demeanor came from considering his dad was not the Boy Scout the media makes him out to be, quite the opposite. Nevertheless, Pat is a really good kid. You can tell the fame and fortune have gotten to him a bit but he’s still a good kid at heart. I’ve enjoyed watching him grow up.

Mahomes is only the 2nd quarterback in NFL history to start 3 SuperBowls in first 6 seasons playing.
    Other one....
    Tom Brady

Although note that Staubach started in 3 Super Bowls in his first 6 seasons as a starter.
