    I bet he's about as accurate as the meteorologists at predicting the weather for 6 weeks.

    It was overcast in our area on Groundhog Day so there were no shadows to be seen, portending an early end to winter (in the Houston area, anyway).

    They'll have to use a Nutria instead of a Groundhog.

    When I was a kid, there was a bounty on "neutures". Took a 14/16 ft boat up the service canals across the Neches River in Orange County through the gas fields. To make it sporting, we used pistols rather than rifles.

    Paid for dates until the guy we sold them to was found selling them to a man in Beaumont who sold them out of his meat market as rabbit, squirrel, and chicken.

    Highs of 72 to 80 predicted for this week in our locality (Brazoria County). I am confident in saying that our winter has come to an early end.
