The land has been commandeered by a transit agency for a rail project. No word yet if they will reopen someplace else.
Rail project for what? Where? Down the middle of the drag? Austin doesn't have enough traffic problems so let's commandeer a major thoroughfare for the "train to nowhere that nobody rides" Has Houston Metro taken over Austin?
It took forever to build what they have now. Of course, they will probably have to replace a foot of topsoil due to the grease "leakage" from Dirty's grill.
Seems to me they could use that site as an industrial lubrication point for the trains. I can't see them having to purchase any new lube for several decades at least.
I try to eat at Dirty's once or twice a month, always on a Friday. I usually always see Earl there too, he loves their burgers.
They have always been great burgers. Maybe not all that healthy, but great. Can anybody imagine some pencil-neck salesboy for Beyond Meat trying to convince Dirty's cooks to give his product a try?
