Full on Mardi Gras. Or RuPaul. Fun to make snarky comments, but gotta admire her for going with this. She’s never boring and LSU gets attention. Doubt that we’ll see Vic in a feather boa!

Seems like she’s trying a bit to hard these days. Becoming a caricature of herself

Damnit Utah missed their free throws to lose to LSU

Poor kid totally choked those free throws - always feel bad for players when that happens. Hope their fans are kind.

I'm not sleeping on Miami. They are playing lights out right now. The thing I like about all the upsets that have happened (other than ours) is that I'm watching several teams that I hadn't had the chance to watch during the regular season. It's fun, there's definitely parity happening, and Go Ole Miss. Hotty Toddy!! :grimace:

I have a degree from LSU but was really hoping Utah could prevail. Some coach needed to talk to the player who was to shot the free throws, calm her down and try to reassure her. Perhaps they tried to but that’s a really tough position to be in.

Maybe bayou witches are more flamboyant. Between her glitter jackets, and feather jackets, her fashion sense is definitely over the top.

Probably had to drive back to Waco to find garb like that. Mardi Gras costumes aside, Baton Rouge and New Orleans are a bit more refined.

I'm in Greenville enjoying the SW16.

Someone mentioned up thread about MIA. They're my new dark horse. They lost that 21 point lead yesterday because coach took out the core team. With they core team they're a team to watch.

Watching Lauren Ebo…sure hope she can help ND beat Maryland, like she did when she played here at Texas…do NOT like MD or their coach!

The officiating in the Notre Dame vs Maryland game today seems extra crappy to me

I will say this... watching the men's games you don't hear near as many whistles as you hear during women's games, even though there is lots of contact and bodies hitting the floor. The officiating in women's basketball is not helping to grow the game. Let them play!!!

Ohio St up by 10 on UCONN to start the 4th Qtr. Aaliya Edwards with 4 fouls. UCONN has 24 turnovers and only hitting 36% at the FT line and 25% behind the arc

After a a mind blowing 14 Final Fours in a row UCONN goes down in the Sweet Sixteen. 25 turnovers and bad shooting sealed their fate.

And another thing about the NCAA WBB officiating... how many other sports do we know the names of the officials? The fact that we can identify the refs and know their names in itself doesn't seem right.

HvL's dad, looking wasted, getting out in the aisle to point and scream at the refs during a timeout. Now I know where she gets her attitude from.

As Van Lith might say "whatever". This rest of us can enjoy watching Caitlin Clark and the Hawkeyes. Wow, Caitlin Clark! Life has conspired against me watching as many tournament games live as I've wanted this year. Glad I'm watching this one.

edit: uh, oh. Louisville making a late run. Clark with a couple more turnovers.

Confession: I do admire Van Lith's game. She looks like she could pay another 40 minutes without losing focus.

Awesome performance by Clark, but that was some serious stat book cooking to manufacture the triple-double.

Just a bad yesterday. Men can't close the deal with a chance to make the Final Four in Houston, and then not only does LSU win, they get to play the Final Four in nearby Dallas where they will have a ton of fans supporting them.

Dang, I was so optimistic going into the season they we had a legitimate chance at playing for it all in Dallas; and, now we have to watch Mulkey back in our state. I hate it that she got LSU to the Final Four in her second season. Make no mistake, she will be reaching out to the recruits in the state of Texas to let them know she will be in Dallas for several days and would love for them to be watching (in person or on TV).

Some recruits are all about what-have-you-done for me lately. We did not leave a good impression to end our KC trip and sub-regional. Unfortunately, we don't get to make another on-the-court impression on the 2024 recruits who plan to sign their LOI's in November.

Those of us who follow our program know about our key injuries and how they impacted our season. Some of our recruiting targets know that, some might not. Regardless, with the recruiting wars being so fierce, this was an unfortunate season to take a step backwards.

Totally agree. We've got big work cut out for ourselves with 2024 being such a critical recruiting class. Even more critical is the fact that we will be headed into the SEC after next season, making recruiting even more difficult with South Carolina and LSU having firmly established themselves. Then there's always the legend of Tennessee. Vic and his bunch are going to have to really get after it this spring and summer.

We’re still the reigning Big 12 Champions.

Vic more than handled his own in the SEC in the recent past and has more resources and “brand” in Texas than he did at MS St to work with. We will be competitive with Staley, Mulkey and Tennessee et al.

In the meantime the Big 12 is ours for the taking provided we avoid another disastrous year injury wise and even at that we won the regular season championship this year.
