Why does he get a pass this week?

After last week, how could he possibly not have our defense prepared for the ou hurry up offense? Our defense was staring at our sideline waiting for a play call and ou was running or passing down the field.

Admittedly, it improved in the 2d half, but why wait? They talk about hours watching film. I barely read the headlines and know that ou runs a hurry up offense. It appeared that we did absolutely nothing to respond.

For me, the bloom is off his rose. We can no longer depend on our defense to win games for us, and we surely can't rely on davis's and mcwhorter's offense.

    Now what ?

You guys are kidding, right? It's hard to tell who's being seriously overdramatic and who's joking around.

I was thinking about this earlier. OU was so incredibly hot early, so as a DC I thought WM blew it when he didn't try to stop the momentum. imo, he needed to burn a TO during the 2nd OU drive, have a a minute or two to regroup and demand somebody make a play. We just needed one person to make a play on D, at least hold them to a FG, because OU was not gonna be able to sustain that hurry-up all game.

So, you burn a TO, make a play, even if they get a FG, 10-0 we're still in the game, now look at the end of the game, OU had basically nothing, in terms of energy left. Take 4 points off their total and take away one of our stupid mistakes in the 2nd half, and the game is an even game.

The defensive penalties were a killer.

I love Muschamp but the fact remains that his defense has been poor against ATM, UCLA and now OU.

We can argue about why that is [too many three and outs, etc.] but you dont get a pass when you open the game by getting the ball shoved down your throat on the first two drives.

Every unit sucked yesterday. I appreciate the desire to hang in and make a game of it, and maybe this team found some balls late. That is the only thing to hang onto right now.

Even if he is planning on leaving at the end of this year to take a job that hasn't even become available or offered yet -- you don't phone it in after three games.

No way he's not at least trying his best. Not that the results have been all that great.

Mistakes notwithstanding the defense is still the best part of this team.

Personally I thought the second half D was the one bright spot of this game. Will made some good halftime adjustments.

The Georgia job is now officially open ... I think Muschamp takes it.

We''ll be sorry to see him go.

If he goes, he goes. From the play I've seen from a couple of our "experienced" d-backs and the special teams wouldn't mind seeing Akinga go with him.

D was fine except for the penalties and not dropping on the ball when Jones fumbled. When the first 2 TDs are ref aided, not sure how you can complain that much about the D. Without the ref gifts, they never get those yds to begin with.

What I do think needs to change is that he gets the guys too ampted up to make big hits and fight too hard and we are getting too many PF calls. Not sure about the first one, but Jeffcoat has to lay off.
