You're right. Seems like decades ago so I forgot.

I could swear that I heard something last night about how we haven't lost three straight at home since the 1930s. If so, wow.

You heard wrong. It last happened during McWilliams' tenure.

I haven't gone back and checked the records under Mcwilliams, but it was in Cedric Golden's AAS column this morning.

1988. Losses at home to Arkansas, Houston, and aggy.

    Source: Texas Media Guide.

That certainly makes more sense and leads me to believe that was a typo (1938 instead of 1988) in the AAS article.

We will win another home game this year, and we will win more than one more game this year.

Do we still have more losses in us? Possibly. Probably.

But we also have more wins in us too.

We'll be fine. We have a great core of talent and a great coaching staff. We'll be fine.

In 1997, Texas lost three straight home games. UCLA, Colorado and Texas Tech. The strange thing that year was they went 6 weeks between the UCLA home game and their next home game against Colorado.

the stat is consecutive home games in consecutive weeks. in both 97 and 88 there were road games in between. btw, the 30s was bad decade for UT football

anyway, it's not 1938. its 1937. loses at home in consecutive weeks to Arkansas and Rice.

There are road games in between this years home losses as well. So the stat relavant to this season is consecutive home games.

That FAU game should be a real thriller. I wonder if 30,000 fans will show up for it? Maybe College Game Day? Should be a real blast. And I think there's a 50-50 shot we'll win.

Wonder if we'll have over 100K like we did last night and against Iowa State (c'mon FSN guys...use your damn eyes!)

Even after our pathetic performance against Baylor, there are still some sunshine pumpers out there who still think we will win at least two more games this season. (Obviously, that means we will figure out how to score more than 22 points in those future wins this year. But how will we do that?)

Whatever year it is this is one of the worst teams I've ever seen.

Texas will win 27-24 over aggy thanks to Justin Tucker's 9th fg of the day. The team will dump gatorade on GD and carry him off the field.

What short memories you have. You obviously don't remember the 1956 team.
