And then on 3rd and 8 they just concede the FG and don't even try for the first down. WTF?

As an aside, the Pats look like Keystone Kops at times.... they are a mess. Can't say the last time I saw Brady just throw the ball into the back of one of his offensive linemen, Reggie Macneal-like.

Colt is just a winner and natural leader, seeing what he does against these nfl defenses as a rookie just makes it even more painful to contemplate what he would have done to Bama last January had he played.

Browns can't lose now. NE drive is taking 3 minutes. Browns get the ball back take 2 minutes off clock punt again, etc. no time left after that again

    Browns win!

There's 6:37 left in the game, Patriots just made it a 2 score game. Anything can happen. Need good ball security, and some bruising Hillis runs.

Why does NE have their back up in, dont they know that you dont get reps for your backups when games are already out of hand???????

I might still be a little bitter about last night!

Belichick is willing to put in his backup QB, and Hoyer throws a pick. Cleveland ball, 2:00 minute warning. Doubt Belichick will call timeouts, as he wants to get the hell out of Cleveland.

incredible offense, over 220 yards rushing, 174 yards passing, no turnovers.

That is gonna win quite a few games. I wonder if Cleveland actually has a shot at the playoffs? 3-5 to maybe 10-6?

Man I'm jealous of all you guys who get to watch that game. Love it that Colt is tearing it up in the NFL so far. Wonder how long it will take him to get a ring?

Colt: 14-19, 174 yards, no TDs, no INTs.

3 carries, 20 yards, and big TD run.

Made some really nice throws, many clutch, and was smart enough to feed the big fella: Hills 184 yards rushing and 2 TDs.

Final, Cleveland 34, New England 14.

Colt McCoy 2-1 as a starter in the NFL, with wins over New England and New Orleans.

It's great to see Colt playing well and lead his team to a win! As the Brown's broadcast team said, "i think the Browns have found their quarterback."

Someone on that website Dawgtalkers called him "Bernie Kosar with legs." No...he's Colt Mc F'nCoy.

One other thing I wonder about with NFL fans is how unaware they are of Colt's/their draft picks style of play. Another guy said he was surprised very surprised that he looks a lot like Vick out there with the throws on the run and the TD scramble. The "Dawg Pound" are suppose to be one of the most passionate NFL fans out there. You would think with star power of Bradford, Tebow, Clausen, and McCoy at QB coming out this year they would know a little bit about how these guys play. But after a play we've seen him do in his sleep...breaking out of a tackle in the pocket scrambling to the right and throwing a dart to the receiver 15 yards down the field...it's a complete revelation to them.

I think it's amazing how someone like Colt who has accomplished as much as he has in the style he has and got to play on national TV almost every week was such an unknown quantity to NFLers.

I enjoyed watching the Browns play. Their trick plays were well executed, which made them both entertaining to watch and successful in terms of results.

It was fun seeing both the trick TD run and also Colt's 4th-down play where he "flapped his wings" and the 2-back set quickly split out to a 5-wide set. The Patriots defense looked a bit confused as their D had to spread out and then Colt just snuck it ahead for the 1st down. The Browns players celebrating in the final minute on the sidelines (plus their trick plays) gave the game more of a college feel than a stodgy million-dollar NFL/professional feel.

From an article in the Cleveland Plain Dealer:

"And how about McCoy? He threw 19 passes, and only missed on five of them. Give the rookie 14-of-19 passing for 174 yards. Give him a 101.6 rating. Come on, give him the quarterback job for the rest of this season.

On the season, McCoy has completed 46-of-68 passes, 66 percent. He had two interceptions at Pittsburgh in his opener, and none since.

He is the first rookie quarterback ever to face Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks (Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees and Brady) in his first three starts -- and he's 2-1.

There are eight games left. Things can change. But McCoy has done nothing but gain more confidence (in himself, and confidence from his teammates and fans) with these games.

I watched part of the game with former Browns receiver Reggie Rucker in the press box, and he raved about McCoy throwing "a catchable" ball. It is soft. It is well-placed. It is delivered so the receiver can make the catch while in stride, rather than having to stop and reach behind. "

Colt managed the game well and made few rookie mistakes, his stats were OK but he did not screw up alot. Hillis had almost 200 yards rushing and just think he was like 3rd string on the team with Felix Jones.
