hmmmm....debateable but maybe a las manitas refried bean, white cheese and escebeche japs on a flour tort. i think those refrieds are made out of clouds.

Also, if you haven't been to Ken's Tacos, do it before you leave.

It's north of Rundberg, right where Cameron Road turns into Dessau, so close to where you live. The tacos are huuuuge, and the salsa is allsome. I recommend everything on the menu, but the carne guisada is especially good.

  7. Wait, he is leaving? Did he and his "roomate" break up?

Try the tacos at El Chilito too. I love their fish taco and the tex-mex carne guisada.

I was going to suggest a group breakfast the morning of the Alamo Bowl before heading down. But who knows who will be in what state.

Juan's is the best. A large group of friends and I met at Juan's almost every Sunday for 4 years. Good times.

I appreciate the fact that the owner actually walks around to say hi to all the customers and thanks them for coming in, even though he may have no idea who they are and has never seen them before! That kind of small gesture just isn't seen that much anymore, and that's a shame.

I just went there for the first time. Had the Don Juan.
It was delicious. Liked the coffee too.

And the handshake was good too.
Kinda like, "There he his, come here big guy!" type hand shake. Like he hadn't seen you in a while.

FYI, the owner at lunch, will greet you like he has known you since High School.

A big shake, hand slap, or ghetto shake, so don't be alarmed, and don't feel special - he does that to everyone. [IMG]
