just saw that. really sucks. good luck to him. seems like a decent guy. probably pretty smart not to damage the rest of your life for a game.

He will stay with the team and help with young backs next year, he just wont play.

Good luck to Tre in the future. I had noticed this year he seemed to be wobbled from several bad hits so I hope he gets well and has a great future with his degree. And thanks for the good memories on your long TD run against BU last year!

He is a very talented runner. He is not your average back. Godspeed with your health and congratulations on a tough yet necessary decision.

Well that sucks for us and Tre, would have been fun to see what he might have done with some blocking.

Terrible to hear this news but good for him making the smart decision, health always comes first. He has his whole life ahead of him and though this may hurt it gives him a chance to live it to the fullest.

Hope he enjoys the rest of his time on the 40 acres, gets a great education and thanks for all you have done to represent the University. [IMG]

Hate to hear that for the kid, but as we learn more about concussions it is for the best.
He'll do well in future endeavors. [IMG]

Would Tre' be able to change his mind in a year? If he was checked out and cleared by some great docs. I wish him the very best. [IMG]

I've been looking for the official word. It was the smart and right thing to do. Best of luck to Tre. He's a gamer and a great kid. He'll do well academically and well in life.

A really nice guy and humble too. You would expect or not be surprised if a son of an NFL star, a star in HS and a college athlete would be a bit cocky or arrogant. Nope, not this young man. Same goes for Mr. Jeffcoat.

Thanks for all you have done Tre' and respects to you in your decision. Life and the quality of it is what is important. You are always a Longhorn! Still gonna raz you.
