Its amazing how not one of the commentators has the courage to say "Hey Maybe its Fischer with the problem?"

It seems obvious enough to me. I mean, they had to go 0 and 6 a couple of years and the owner had to FORCE Fischer to start VY... Then they made the play-offs!
Yet he still only got the meekest of praise from Fischer.

Same QB that went o and 6 gets nothing but praise. Ever.

It would be very hard to be in VY's shoes right now. You know he has to believe that Fischer is trying to ruin his career/run him out of town. What would you do?

Personally, I think I'd be trying to gouge out Fischer's eyes with a salad fork. But I'm not as big a man as VY.

Getting crazier. Now there are reports that VY may actually have never thrown his uniform into the stands. Also statements that his hand does not need surgery, contrary to Fisher's statement.

Interesting that whenever something about VY's "immaturity" comes out, Fisher is usually the source.

I think the fact that Fisher (by some radio reports if true) is being summoned to Houston tomorrow says volumes about what really happened or didn't happen. Peyton (sorry for the pun) Place in Nashville. [IMG]

Unfortunately these sort of things happen in the NFL.

Coaches get grudges...dont like certain guys and then try to assassinate their character.

I know a lot of you guys cheered like crazy when Matt Leinart got cut.

But this is the exact same thing that happened in Phoenix with Wishenhunt and Matt Leinart.

When a coach comes out publicly and starts questioning the quarterbacks "guts" or "intangibles" or other things that cant be measured.....more often then not He's just trying to cover his own ***.

It seems like Vince has consistently gotten the shaft in Tennesee. These things happen because the NFL is not a players league.

One of them needs to go. They are both good, but I don't see them being able to work together.

I mean, Fisher has a decent track record of success over the years. VY was great in HS, college, and has shown he can be a good pro QB and may have the potential to be great. Too my knowledge, VY has only been an immature baby non-team guy in the context of playing for Fisher. Likewise, Fisher is only a Machiavellian power-freak out to derail the career's of his players in the context of VY.

Kind of sad, there have been some cool moments with both of them and the Titans.

i am sure that vy has been immature about the situation, but this is much more on fisher. he didn't want vince, but he was overruled. want to talk about immature? fisher's stubborn *** has been acting like a child. and if you want to call out guys in the league that have acted immature during their careers, you're going to be busy. fisher truly needs help. he has shown that he is willing to go against what is best for his team to try and show that he was right about vy from the beginning. vince's play has steadily improved, and he has played very well most of the time this season. jeff needs to get the hell out of the way.

    What starchild said.

Fischer makes a mountain out of every molehill VY gives him, and looks like a petulant **** for it. Instead of bringing VY along he;s been trying to cut him down at the knee ever since he got there.

I can't wait for VY to get traded or for Fischer to be fired. It would be hilarious if Fischer got his own dumb-*** fired, though.

Fisher is a fraud. Mediocre bs is all he produces. He should of been fired long ago

A QB, any QB, needs the support of his teammates, but more importantly, needs the support of his head coach. Fisher has never had VY's back and has made his progression to the next level twice as hard as it should have been.

No one is more competitive and wants to win as much as Vince does. To produce a situation where he cannot just go out and play football, the way we all know he's capable of, because he's too worried about the politics behind the scenes, shows the same "lack of maturity," he claims Vince is exhibiting.

Fisher never wanted VY and it's to the point where splitting these two up would be in the best interest of both. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Bottom line is that Fisher decided to stick with FAU pride Rusty Smith in a crucial game that the Titans lost because of ineffectual offense after Vince left. If Vince Young was on the sidelines, and you're the coach of the Titans and can't get Vince Young to go in and win the ballgame for you, well... all you can do is try to do a PR spin.

Just covering my bases for the Jeff Fisher apologists.

Can't or won't. Either way, blame is on the coach.

Just lost 3 games to mediocre WAS, MIA, SD teams after starting out 4-2 before Vince got hurt.

First of all, hell yes, I'm a fan boy of VY's, and I don't give a f**k who knows it.

The fact of the matter is that Fisher has never once told the truth regarding Vince.

In this incident alone, he told two lies (that we know of). He said Vince's thumb was "torn" (lie) and that he threw his pads and uniform into the stands (lie).

Why ANYONE would believe a single word that turd muncher Fisher says about VY is beyond me.

Jeff Fisher is a complete sorry-*** piece of ****, and deserves to get canned, and probably worse, for many things, this just being the last straw.

What I hope is that Adams forces Fisher to reinstate VY as the starter, and Vince leads the TEAM to the playoffs (or further). Then Adams fires that sorry piece of **** Fisher once the season is over.

God damn, I hate that ************....

And who told us that supposed story about VY being suicidal in 2008? Uh, that was Fisher.

VY has done exactly what I hoped he would do for a long time coming - forced a decision on Fisher vs. VY.

Media tools will tell you that it's an easy decision: the long-tenured, "respected" Fisher

But you have to look at the facts: VY is the only thing this franchise has going for it. Without him, Jeff Fisher would have already been toast. What gives the Titans a better chance to win - VY with a new coach or Fisher with a new QB? At least in the short term - and Bud Adams isn't going to last forever - the answer is the former.

VY made the move he had to make to save his career - refusing to play for Fisher any longer. Is Adams alert enough to make this tough decision?

I don't have the quote, but I read earlier a quote from Nate Washington where it said he was surprised what happened in the locker room was told to all by Jeff Fisher since the players were issued a gag order.

Think about the hypocrisy: You tell the team not to tell the media anything about the incident, then you go and trash VY yourself to the whole world. Fisher got exactly what he wanted, the chance to spin the story entirely his way. It was never about keeping the matter private or within the confines of the team.
