Just want to tke a moment to say....Told you the Titans/spOILERS franchise sucked....on with the regularly scheduled program.
My take: Vince is showing his immaturity by trying to contact Fisher through a text message. Pick up a ******* phone. Or at least have your agent call him and say that you want to sit down with him. Fisher. Stop talking to the media and continuing to take shots at your QB through them. What this situation needs is a mediator. You would have thought he team owner would have been that but he simply siad it was between them 2 to work this out. With as much that is at stake in terms of his head coach and QB and the money he is paying Vince he should be directly involved. I can't see Vince coming back in 2011. The way these events have gone down there is just no repairing this.
For Vince to apologize via text was somewhat weak, but at least it was an attempt to mend fences and start moving forward. Fisher, on the other hand, has done absolutely squat on his end to try and resolve their personal dispute. Instead, he has taken every opportunity to posture and highlight all of Vince's failures and shortcomings to mask his own culpability and failure to work constructively with Vince. Vince Young may be Superman, but Fisher is Lex Luthor who gladly carries an ample supply of Kryptonite in his back pocket.
Dear Vince, Please speak to your agent about getting the hell out of Tennessee and stop giving the coach ammunition to trash you. Fisher is like the "mother in law" that hated your 'effin guts from the moment she saw you. All you need to know about him is, he would rather finish a season 0-16 than play you.
As long as Vince has his head on straight about things, not too emotional I mean, (which seems to be the case by the way he's handling things since the blow up, ie keeping it cool), this is AWESOME. Don't you see? He's in a no-lose situation. Fisher is gone or VY goes somewhere with a HUGE chip on his shoulder for the rest of his career. I'm already cherishing the day VY wins a super bowl with Fisher in the booth forced to talk about it.
