I think so. with Pitt and Notre Dame losing. I'm thinking we'll be ranked about #5-6. Now it's Duke's turn to lose.

just focus on one game at a time and things will take care of themselves.there's a long way to go before seedings.

The bigger question is do we deserve a #1 seed?

It seems to me that we peaked about the second aggy game and have been getting less dominating ever since.

4 losses is more than most top teams have, Texas cannot afford another loss for the rest of the year IMO and that will be very tough to accomplish. I would just like to see Texas win the regular season championship in the Big 12 by themselves, they lose again they will share it with KU.

If we're ranked behind Kansas I'll be pissed.

If Texas regains its form and wins the Big 12 outright with a 15-1 record, I doubt the selection committee would award anything less than a No.1 seed.

It's been a tough week for the nation's top teams. Odds are there will be more upsets in the weeks ahead, so Texas will have a chance to move back up ... provided it isn't one of them.

At this point I believe Kansas, OhioSt, & Duke have to be ahead of us. Pitt, Purdue & BYU (don't laugh) are open for conjecture. Lose another and SDSt, ND and Georgetown are in the argument with us for #2 seeds. Hopefully the commentators will quit saying we're playing the best bball in the country. Someone else was blasted for earlier saying we've not played as well the last 3-4 games, but I agree we're not as sharp as we were. I hope we didn't peak in late January.

I think 15-1 guarantees us a #1 seed. 14-2 opens the door and means whoever wins the B12 Tourney has an edge between Kansas and Texas.

Duke is especially interesting - they only have one GAME (not win) against a currently ranked team. They have one more coming up with UNC, but that's it. I don't know how the committee will view their resume.

But as of right now, 5 teams are vying for the 4 spots right now: UT, KU, Pitt, Duke, OSU.

yeah, Joe, I agree, and after I looked at Duke's schedule, I only see one possible loss, at North Carolina. They could easily be one of the weakest #1 seeds in history, but with a near-perfect record.

Win out and make Big XII tourny final we are a number one seed. Lose a game before big XII tourny final and could fall to a two seed in Duke's region. Which by the way, I would take.

Has a 4 loss team ever been the #1 seed?

We had 6 losses in 2003 when we were a #1 seed. Granted, the field was a lot tougher that year.

Maybe this team needs a number 2 seed far from home.
