This is dumb. I think coaches should give players **** if they don't participate. Maybe they shouldn't be allowed to punish them, but a little motivation to get their asses to workouts doesn't seem like a bad thing to me.

Catch the last paragraph. Still on probation for basketball illegal phone contact and caught again. The basketball coaches need to have the football coaches explain to them how to space out the probations.

Further evidence that the NCAA either doesn't care or does not want to lose those free Big Red cars.

Getting good at it, Goose? Shucks, they mastered this years ago. They know no other way. It's in their scummy blood.

I guess the $ooner$ did another internal investigation and will disipline themselves by not allowing those coaches in question to participate in one of their illegal voluntary must attend spring practice sessions. The $ooner$ are all on top of this one.

Read the entire article guys. Recruiting violations in the last TWO paragraphs. How convenient to hide those at the bottom.

    Damn cheaters.

violations are violations. i agree that these aren't severe violations, but they are still violations. sooners just can't change. it's almost like it's in their dna.

Lighten up, Francis. The sooner coaches just got confused on the definition of "voluntary"

Give the Cheaters what they've deserved for decades -- the Death Penalty.

It's long overdue and would rid college sports of the scum-sucking bottom feeders.

I'm more pissed about the recruiting violations... sure the workouts were minimal and barely a violation but the inappropriate tests to recruits and parents is warranting of sanctions...PERIOD. NCAA swings and misses again!

    Ask Mack:

"But he qualified that by saying experience and offseason workouts would establish a "pecking order" in which players get snaps with the first team."

Off-season workouts will establish a pecking order you peckers. Don't get mad at me, call Mack.

As much as it pains me to say this, but Texas needs a strong Oklahoma in football. OU brings instant credibility to the Big XII, football.
