What small people you are to make fun of someone's appearance. That has nothing at all to do with their ability to lead a university.
It’s pretty funny. Without ever having seen either President I bet people on the street could identify which person represents which university based solely on what they know about both schools. I think it’s great that both President’s really embody their schools to such a degree. I mean….just look at them: Loftin vs. Powers Small vs. Big Meager vs. Strong Bumpkin vs. Affluent Apprehensive vs. Relaxed Surprised vs. Calm Insecure vs. Confident
Chance get over yourself. His nickname on campus is bowtie loftin. Smart guy with a solid vita though. I wonder what he could do if he wasn't hamstrung by the bor and perry.
Chance, Fwiw, Prop Joe is in ATM admin as I understand. He is a truly "good guy" and shouldn't be mocked.
What I am trying to figure out is which is the president of A&M, the guy in Longhorn01's link, or the guy in his signature pic?
He may need to drop the bowtie but he has some smarts. He got his B.S. in physics at A&M and his Ph.D from Rice. He got this job after serving as VP and Professor of Maritime Systems Engineering at the Galveston campus. He's also past director of the NASA Virtual Environments Research Institute.
