I don't care if they wear ******* tutu's. I just want to see them play like they give a damn for a change.
They did the same thing last year. Did you have a problem with them then? Check out the 2010 August practice pics in the MB-TF.com archives if you need verification.
Actually, it's per-spire-ation, not sweat. Our jersey's have had the same Nike pattern as the Oregon's. By "pattern" I mean the jerseys are made from the std Nike construction with fabric sections shaped like all the others - only difference is they were all the same color (orange or white). I think what you are seeing the the way different fabric sections absorb moisture. Or I could be wrong. Maybe they just added sections to match the new OSU orange turf in the endzones. I long for the day when our greatest concern going into the season was the color of the turf.
The color scheme of the practice jerseys should be the least of this team's concerns. BIS, looks like we already need some focusness!!
These are just the practice jerseys. Every year they break out the opaque jerseys during practice and then trot out in the eye candy for games.
1. They are practice jerseys- they are very different from the game jerseys. The game jerseys early 2000-2005 or 2006 the entire front sans shoulders were mesh. I think around the time colt took over Nike changed this design 2. From the looks of it these are made of 2 different materials. The front and back may be designed to wick away sweat and the sides for air flow or stretchability or some combination.
Okay, hope you guys are right. Only reason I worried is cuz the basketball team had those fugly 2-tone jerseys last year. Never really understood the concept.
It is two different materials, has been for at least a year. I first noticed it on the away jerseys. The under arm material, I believe is a more flexible stretchable fabric. If gives a more form fit over shoulder pads, back pads and rib protectors. The main or front and back is more of sweat absorption fabric. I do think they make the colors distinctive vs. trying to make them close but not quite. Trying to match colors across different materials is very tough to do, think Longhorns on the helmet vs Jersey color vs Burnt Orange Stripes on the pants, oh wait a minute that hasn't been announced yet!!!!!
I just watched the Irby video, I see the two tones you are talking about now, ugly, oh please tell me the game jerseys are going to have that over the top two tone. That look sucks.
I like the Earl Campbell look. Out of date now, but looked powerful back then. Big pads, big sleeves. The Link Texas tribute video.
Even their 100% cotton shorts have this same two-toned color scheme you guys are talking about! Is this some kind of Nike conspiracy?!?
Wow. Thought the OP was kidding; guess not. They are all the same color orange, but different parts of the template use different materials. Some look darker than others when soaked with sweat.
This thread screams of aggyism. I pray you all are not serious about the practice jerseys. Where were all of you last summer practice??? In case you can't tell, this is Malcolm Williams last year... DURING A GAME. Clearly none of you are in proper game day shape to see this clearly. May I advise you all to go chug a 6-pack very quickly and then go back and look at this year's jerseys.
Capes haven't changed! will still be the same material and color as always... Thank goodness they are smart enough not to mess with perfection.
