So this supposed rivalry is not on TV? It is actual one early matchup that I would want to see with no stake in any other game. With the LHN picking up UTSA games do you think in the future the LHN might pick up other conference partners games? Given the current choice of games, this is the one that I would watch.
I was looking at ESPN's schedule of games, and they don't list Fox, didn't even think about Fox. Anyway to my point, do you think the LHN would pick up any other conference partner games that are not broadcast anywhere, ie except locally. They could work out some type of revenue sharing, as most of these games would be short notice. A percentage of the advertising revenue for the game goes to the two teams. This motivates the two teams to encourage local advertisers etc. I know next to nothing about the business so excuse my ignorance.
Or how about negotiating third Tier rites for SMU, TCU, RICE? Rice is playing Purdue today and ESPN is showing that it is not being broadcast. It might be on FOX, I don't know. I know it would be a tough pill to swallow being on the Longhorn network but Revenue is Revenue and each of these schools would love or do play Texas on a regular basis. Just some thoughts before heading out.
Here is a link to an awesome tv schedule for all games, every week. As there are additions and changes they update it. The guy who does it, an LSU fan, is a saint. 2011 NCAA Football TV Schedule
