All you need to know, get through part I and you will find the rest. Yeah I know we are all still alive, have a wonderful day turds The Link
When I first heard the world was going to crash here on the board I sold my stocks and put it all into pork bellies. Thanks AsD- financial disaster avoided!
What A's D doesn't realize is that almost all of the men who helped to destroy the world economy also post on the West Mall and are spying on him. Why is it that, whenever the world economy goes to hell or whenever Texas loses a football game, people stand around and blame X or Y for it?
With such a charming way with people being demonstrated by the OP, I'm shocked that posts like this aren't treated more seriously.
Anyone give it even 10 minutes? How's that change working with all those new faces behind the scenes? _________________________________________________ i watched it but its nothing new. i'm waiting for part 2
The Link The innerwebz is really not hard, just look over on the right side for parts 3 & 4 Nothing new? Are you one of these types that sees grandma getting her purse snatched and you get out of the way of the thief as to not get run over? I've seen that before.
Not to derail the thread, but I want to read MIchael Lewis' new book "Boomerang". He also wrote "The Big Short" and "The Blind Side" and "Moneyball". He's been on the talk-show circuit hawking "Boomerang" lately.
Makes you long for the good ole days when boom and bust didn't automatically green light centralized government to pollute the future with criminal levels of socialized debt and poof money.
There was a time that when you engaged in a risky business and it failed, you failed. Now, you engage in risky business and the Fed, at the request of the government, bails you out, inflates the currency, and causes the general populace to suffer from less purchasing power.
The first of the film parts was informative and worth watching, but the last three all became glorifications of "workers unite!" events around the world, with an obvious political bias that enables people to act like two year olds if they feel justified in their anger. If someone from Mars came to see these videos, they would suppose the world was a completely different place than it really is.
I don't have time to watch this entire series. I did click on the link and am sifting through it a bit. Seems very similar to the Matt Damon narrated movie 'Inside Job'. Seems pretty clear Greenspan helped deregulate the US banking/financial system. The repeal of Glass-Steagall and then the ammendment in 04 to the Net Capital Rule both contributed most significantly to setting the stage for what happened over the last 5-10 years. Paulson is linked to the 04 rule. This occurred under Clinton and Bush and the Obama has allowed the affair to continue. But that is just in the US and this problem is global. The clip examines what happened in Iceland as does 'Inside Job'.
