The Occupy Wall Street protesters, having been relieved of their camping privileges in Zuccotti Park (located in Manhattan), have regathered their forces in what may well be the beginning of a last stand before the winter weather kicks in in earnest.So far, at least 177 of the protesters have been arrested, with seven police officers being injured by the protesters. Numerous acts of violence have been instigated by the OWS protesters. And now they are rapidly being transported to their new camping grounds in the city jail. Once again, I support these people's right to protest and their right to free speech must be protected. And it appears that Mayor Bloomberg and other mayors across the country are bending over backwards to try to be accommodating along these lines. However, it also appears that the behavior of these people is in too many cases violating acceptable standards for health, sanitation and the public safety. They are doing themselves and their cause a real disservice with this sort of behavior. One might think that elected leaders who have supported these protests so far might come forward and call for the protesters to behave in a more orderly manner here. But so far, that does not appear to be happening.
What people can take away from the utter destruction, crime and filth is these people have no respect for themselves let alone for any real purpose. anyone who continues to think these vermin are actually advancing any cause might need a reality check. i wonder when any Dem including BO who expressed support for this chaos will have the sense to denounce what has gone on.
BI not even a very good attempt. this chaos IS OWS and BO said in interview with ABCnews in Oct "I understand the frustrations that are being expressed in those protests,"The most important thing we can do right now," he added, is "letting people know that … we are on their side." obamites will try to excuse him by saying he meant all people not just the protestors. Won't wash. BO wanted to be seen as a supporter when he thought it was a good political move.
Not only that but BHO inspired this. He's a divider. Who started the talk of 1%? Obama did. If he didn't inspire it then what isn't it the 50%? Or the 10%, or the 2%? These idiots didn't come up with that number by themselves.
Obama, Pelosi, etc . . . support them and it should be no surprise. OWS protesters are nothing more than opportunistic anarchists who have found a reason (excuse) to disrupt. They protest to protest. They break the law then whine when they are arrested. They destroy property. They crap and piss in public. They live in filth. They recite cheesy chants without realizing how utterly idiotic they appear. They are the losers of society who have found an avenue to vent their frustrations. They are leftover from the 60s or feel that they missed out on the 60s. They, and their supporters are complete morons. So, the fact that far left politicians offer their blessings should be a surprise to nobody. Other than that I really have no opinion on them at all.
what I find hilarious, if true as reported, is the story about the OWS protestor who was arrested for making the comments about sending a molotov cocktail through a window at macy's. Apparently this mensa member is 29, living at home with his retired father and mother who is working to make ends meet for them all.
i imagine the british mocked the revolutionaries at valley forge who lived in shacks, tattered clothes and diseased conditions because the fledgling american movement was fully ready to fight the tyranny of the royal class. flash forward a couple of hundred years, and you will see an equally self deluded economic royalty and its supporters hypocritically bag on the vile living conditions of the ows people all the while the economic royalty destroy the environment with the imposition of a consumer economy and to the expectation that you must continually run your house hold tub to ritually cleans your body of facial hair or what little filth it may gain while you sit in your wall street office building. even more self delusion occurs when these supposed defenders of liberty and democracy who also champion themselves as the silent majority or the people of law order go down to town hall meetings to scream down congressional representatives while they hold up the standard of dress to be suits and ties, which breaks the democratic covenant where everyone but not just those who can afford expensive clothes can engage in a community dialogue. in short, the 1% and its allies must ritually clean because deep down they know that their conscious is dirty.
