I'm just gonna address the pink elephant in the room, which is the fact that this was, in all likelihood, the last Texas vs. aggy game. I have to paraphrase a quote from Moshe Dayan back in the late 1960’s. “We have to be able to tell the aggies “we have no solution, you shall continue to live like dogs, and if you wish, you may leave.””

They outplayed us early. Blew another double digit lead, albeit an early one. Our defense was stout overall, obviously wasn't happy with the late Aggie TD. Great heart by the offense at the end to finally move the ball and get into position to kick the field goal.

Bye Aggie. I wish you no success in the SEC SEC SEC!!

Awesome slugga! Glad to see this up. Nice to see a win with the offense so poor all night.

As much as I love your ratings, maybe you should have just dispensed with the usual and given a huge check to the entire team for guts. Seriously, thanks as always for you analysis.

On the offenses "1-turnover" with a no check, I'm confused. Or, am I forgetting a turnover in my glee over this win?

Not sure that's something to get all excited about.

Defense was top 5 quality (behind the likes of LSU and bama), special teams (outside of punting) was finally consistently good, offense was god awful but got us a field goal when it counted.

Assuming our QB play steps up and our recievers learn to catch, next year is giong to be even scarier. And not even overlooking this year, we should finish this season 9-4...

Everyone who came out after the OSU loss and proclaimed we'd only win 5 or 6 games all year needs to come out and take their medicine.

On LHN, Priest Holmes and Joey Harrington both predicted Texas would go 7-5 this season. IIRC, they made their calls after the OSU game. Looks like they were fairly accurate.

I love Horn Fans - quoting/paraphrasing Moshe Dayan while teaching amateurs like me some football. I wonder how many folks here never heard of Moshe Dayan (or Patricia Hearst for that matter.) Anyway, enjoyed the grading as usual. Thanks HP.

    hpslugga,

I am not starting a new post, but I want your input and assessment of our QBs. Personally neither has shown much yet. All of this within the context of our lack of an effective OL and WRs. That said, is anything being done to get us someone capable of performing well at this level ? I have confidence in the current staff. Teams are not turned around and rebuilt overnight. Thanks ahead of time.

    ^ no, they're just SLO

it's more joke than anything. after a friend was divorced and back in the dating scene, he said if his dates didn't know who patricia hearst is then they're either too dumb or too stupid for him to date.

but anyway, enough silliness. i look forwrd to HPs responses
