    No kidding.

I like it the way that it is. No need to go and regulate it.

There is a big problem with internet piracy and the copyright owners deserve to have their property rights protected here. However, that does not mean that that Hollywood or certain overreaching government bureaucrats should be left to dictate the terms of what any legislation along these lines should entail.

I am glad that the profile of this issue has been raised and that a more transparent and considerate evaluation of this issue will likely occur as a result. However, any reasonable person who spends any significant amount of time on the internet knows how rampant internet piracy is. Some sort or carefully measured steps need to be taken to curtail that.

Agree with Mojo. While I understand why some were upset with the means by which some sites might have been shut down, the end goal of protecting copyrights and legitimate legal rights is a valid cause. People work hard and pay alot of money to create intellectual property and its wrong for others to be able to just copy and paste it on their sites. I do not want a system that reduces the incentive to create new works. If they can re-work the way they were going about it and still grant protection where its due, I'd be on board with thes measures.

I agree too, completely. Those companies do have the right to protect their investment and their products. But they also need to look at better evolving their business models around technology. I am sure they do and it is probably just not that easy. It's like the thieves that proclaim their business model as the reason for them stealing think they don't want to make money nor invest in ways to research how to do it.

Those companies are just slow moving. I think with a bit more effort or results in that area to coincide with better enforceable rules, done so fairly and evenly, it could work.

But leave off all that other ****. It should be streamlined and easy to comprehend just what is and what isn't legal so as to not confuse people on both sides of the wire.
