Hookem.com reported a couple weeks ago that 2013 recruit Jake Raulerson and his folks were coming in prior to the 2/12 Junior Day for an unofficial visit... The guys at Hookem.com visited with Jake & his father after returning back to Celina and it appears the visit went great! it seems that the coaches have talked about Raulerson playing both sides of the ball if he were to sign with Texas. Talk is centered around Jake starting out at DE and playing some TE situationally like Luke Poehlmann did this past year (he met with the offensive and defense staffs over the weekend)... It's looking like Jake Raulerson will be the 2013's version of this year's Connor Brewer... we shall see! Pics are below... courtesy of Hookem.com (L-R): Jake Raulerson (2013), Bluiett, Estelle, Peter Jinkens, Gray, Hobbs, Overstreet Additional pictures of this past weekend's recruiting visits are listing under the "Pics from OV/Recruiting Weekend..." thread... more to see!
Does anyone know who each of the players is in the last pic? Saw #42 at the KU bball game and he was really into it (doing all the Texas cheers, etc.). ______________________________________
i know its early but could somebody knowledgeable hazard a guess on where Jake might be placed in a National 100 list (e.g. Rivals or ESPN)?
Simply put, I think Raulerson will be our most important recruit in next year's class. It doesn't matter what position(s) he plays...he's made to be a Longhorn.
the angle may have something to do with it, but he's wearing flip-flops and is nearly as tall as kennedy estelle (6' 7"). he sounds like the kind of OT prospect that we have been whiffing on until recently. me likey.
nice pick up on the flip flops i saw it and thought the same thing... followed by my second thought... it must be a hell of alot warmer there than it is here!!!!
As of August 2011, ESPN had him listed at 6'5", 250. At that time, he had offers from almost every major program in the country (Ohio St, Fla, Auburn, Michigan, ND, Stanford, Alabama, to name a few) EXCEPT UT. Apparently, Mack was just taking his time. He is also listed as being in the ESPN 150, but no rankings for 2013 class have been announced.
