As a big fan of other AMC series such as The Walking Dead, Mad Men and The Killing (of which I started threads on two of those), I would be remiss for not mentioning perhaps my favorite of them all - Breaking Bad.

Some have called this the best drama series of all time. I don't know if I would go that far, but it is outstanding and unlike just about anything I have seen on TV before. As with the previously mentioned series, I arrived late to the dance and have only made it through two seasons of Breaking Bad on Netflix, but I am uh, addicted now.

Before I started watching this series I had no idea who Bryan Cranston was, even though I have seen a number of films and series he has been in. Just one of those actors that you recognize their face, but can't place the name. I don't know if it was casting genius, or just luck that put Cranston in this role, but he fits it about as well as any actor I can think of. I guess three consecutive Primetime Emmys attest to that.

As far as the show, I don't quite know how to describe it. It's not really a typical drama and it's not a comedy, although I have laughed more watching this show than any comedy in recent memory. I suppose dramatic dark comedy would be a good description.

Watching the show got me wondering who the technical adviser is. Probably some dealer/tweeker with a strong background in chemistry.

So you are saying I should watch it, right? [IMG]

I am presuming it's on Netflix. I too like other A/E shows. I even like the Glades and Breakout Kings. I have not seen Madmen but I have a feeling I should.

It is probably the greatest show ever on the human condition of circumstance guiding behavior. And Bryan Cranston is a pretty good actor in everything he has done.

Definitely a great show. Not sure its one of the best of all time but definitely solid.

I really like the unpredictable nature of the show. Every time I expect a specific outcome, I am surprised by what takes place.

Just finished watching four seasons in about a week's time and can't recall a series that has enthralled me as much as this one, or had as powerful a performance as Cranston's. I was, uh ...blown away.

season 4 was absolutely insane. i feel like they got rid of any superflous crap and focused on what was really interesting. it may seem like a small detail but i love how they always tie up loose ends.

The opening scenes of the episodes are awesome. Like the stuffed animal with the missing eyeball floating in the pool and the mariachis singing the Ballad of Heisenberg.
