We don't get to see a scrimmage, practices are closed and barring injury we have an idea about our starting rosters. We could lose four/five games or win them all, who knows. What does your gut tell you and what does our year turn out to look like. I am going to say we lose 2 games, narrowly miss out on a BCS game but do well with possibly the Cotton Bowl. That's my story and I am sticking with it. I don't know the two games we lose.
I think we win them all in the regular season, maybe losing a close one in the MNC. Then we win it all next year.
I can see going 10-2 barring any major set backs. If everything clicks and this team is as good as they appear to be then i can see us going 11-1, possibly 12-0. The big key will be getting Fera ready for the RRS. He will be KEY in winning the battle of field position.
The game at OSU sets the tone, IMO. It's a road game against a team that's talented but definitely beatable. We haven't won one of those games in a while. We get that, we may be off to the races - although we likely lose some momentum against OU. If we lose it, we may be looking at 7-4.
I don't think I can make any meaningful prediction until I see our quarterback play over the first couple of games.
Lose to OU and lay an egg at OSU. Beat WVU, TCU and everybody else Oh yea, of course we lose to Aggy, just ask 'em.
Handicapping the season with the two QB's we have in their second season and how they play vs. last year may be the toughest part of predicting W-L for '12. #2 would be the OL - the OL is really the key. The D clearly will be very nasty and win some games for us. I am thinking 10-2. I am very bullish on us beating ou in a close game Oct. 13th. We hammer OSU @ Stoolwater. I am mostly concerned with 3 games: ou, WVA and @KSU. Like l00p - I cannot put my finger on which 2 games may be an L. That's my story for now and I am sticking to it.
Today I'm saying 9-3, but it could be better. I can't see it below 9-3. The defense is too good to lose more than 3. The offense is easily good enough to win 9. If the QB jells a little then we are 10-2. If the QB jells big time then we go 11-1. Yikes, this is exciting.
3-4 losses probably. Who knows what OSU/Baylor will do with new QB's. OU is always tough. KState will be rough. WVU will also be a challenge
10-2. Randy McEachern did just fine handing off to Earl. BB&G are going to punish some opposing LBs and DBs by just pounding, and pounding, and pounding. And the PSU transfer kicker will "win" a couple in the last few seconds.
I would lump both of those under the "mental issues" category". Nebraska was solid but I don't think they were top 20. A&M gave us that game, flat out. Not complaining, but that game should be chalked up to "aggieness" as much as anything.
I went on record as saying 9-10 wins on the *Hot Seat Post." By the way I was on Foxsports.com because I play the fantasy games there and saw the "Hot Seat" article and thought why not ask the question. I would have done the same thing if if I had been on MSNBC.com. As far as I know they have no fantasy sports games there,so I was not there. I had no idea a West Mall affair would break out. Just to make it crystal clear I don't think Mack's seat is hot. He has made some necessary changes and the future does look bright in my opinion. Whether he has a hot backside from Mexican cuisine or or other gastric maladies can not be determined at this time. Only those in close proximity of the man or his family MD can say.
something tells me our D is overrated. We're gonna need more offense than we thought. 9-3 or 8-4. Injuries will tell the tale.
11-2, including winning in each Cotton Bowl, the real one in October and then Jerry World in January.
My pessimistic side says, 9-3 but my optimistic side says 11-1 (minus bowl game). I will average the two and say 10-2.
