The country could use a jolt with a Romney win. If Obama wins, too many will go to sleep and simply not grasp the economic ills. Too much attention on social engineering, not enough on the failures of Keynesian economics. I'd love the excitement of a change of guard and the dialog it would generate. If Obama wins, I'm afraid there will be less energetic discussion on what we're face with in addressing the national debt and all related economic pitfalls. Incidentally, I'm on the side that says a 'correction' needs to take place, not bail outs. Stop the presses (dollar$) and let malinvestments fail. It will be painful for many, but shorter lived than what we would otherwise experience. It (corrections) happened twice in the past century, the last time after WWII and lasted less than 2 years. We've drug this thing out way too long, and I don't really trust either party to grasp how to deal with it. Obama's administration least of all. Romney in office might allow someone to push for it (Ron Paul sure would -- he understands Austrian Economics). I plan to vote!!
Obama 290 Romney 248 I am glad it is over. If your guy doesn't win Sun still rises on Nov 7th and most of your life is basically the same.
Romney gets at least 290 electoral votes and wins popular by 3-5 points (maybe more). Team Obama is stunned by the turnout shift from 2004.
This is 1980 all over again. Nobody thought Reagan was going to win until right at the end. Romney wins surprisingly easily.
Mitt Romney wins the popular vote about 3-5% and wins 300+ votes in the electoral college. The Republicans take the Senate and hold the House.
My prediction is Romney by 3% and 8 EV (or 26 if he takes Ohio). Reason: Dem turnout is overstated in polls (tied to historic turnout in '08). Additionally, Rep enthusiasm doesn't seem to be considered.
Hoping for Romney, but I feel like the TX team going into the OUsucks game. Hope for a win, and try not to get blown off the field!
At this point I'm just ready for the stupid Obama ads to be taken off this site. Why would I care about early voting or any kind of voting in Colorado? And please keep Michelle off the ads. She's an eye sore.
