Just saw a blip on ESPN saying sources have said Northern Illinois will get a BCS bid knocking OU out. Hmmmm Can't wait for a Stoops reaction..espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8702724/bcs-bowl-schedule-northern-illinois-huskies-earn-orange-bowl-bid
Alamo v. Oregon St. or UCLA. The Bruins were in the mix a little while for San Antonio, right? Dammit.
pretty sure all the bcs games have been confirmed. northern illinois is playing in the orange bowl. sooners are playing A&M in cotton.
I wonder if Saunders, the Sooner WR, will be sitting out for that game? Will his arrest get him suspended for the game or just enough days until the actual game?
And I agree to that. Dirtydang, what is the buzz on what will happen to Saunders? No bowl, suspension to begin next season? The other dude, the transfer who had to sit out this year...gone? Slap on wrist? I am sure more needs to come to the surface and they were both let go so it's nothing major other than being dumb and unable to follow rules. But still, dumb. It's dumb when it happens to your guys and ours too. What TCU did was epic dumb.
I'm fairly certain this will be under investigation and the determination, coincidentally, will come the week after the cotton bowl. At that point he will be suspended indefinitely which would of course be deemed enough punishment the day before the first game next year.
I fully agree with that and find that those punishments would be both fair and harsh enough. For sure it's a good point regarding the guy sitting out the season and him missing more games. I sort of forgot about the coat incident in Arizona but now it comes back to me. That was ridiculous. Burlington Coat Factory too, right?
OU may not have beaten a top team, but...their 2 losses are to the only undefeated team and the best team in the Big 12. The BCS sucks donkey balls and OU got screwed. The bowl lineups with NIU, Louisville plus the total mismatch of Georgia vs Corn Aggy is totally outrageous. Hook'em!!!!
