Overstreet isn't a dual threat QB, he's a running QB who can't pass. Brewer is a passing QB who can't run. My post above you??
At this point, Alex King would probably be a better option at QB than Swoopes. He's like Overstreet, but an even worse passer.
I am so hoping that the prediction of Jalen Overstreet has a poor passer turns out to be has false as the one given to VY almost 10 years ago. Remember all the talk about Vinces "bad arm angle"? That pass to Sweed in the endzone vs tOSU blew that theory out the window. And GD leaving Vince alone sure helped. Still remember some guys on this board telling me VY should be moved to WR or LB. Er Uh Sure Here is hoping the QB coaching factor of Applewhite brings Jalen's passing abilities to their maximum upside as I have heard that it is and has been worked on.
Jerrod Heard! Saw this kid in championship against Georgetown. He's an accurate passer. I wasn't impressed in the first half, then with GT leading 30-14, Heard decided, this is my game and he went all VY on GT. Took it over, ran thru and over guys on a TD run. Guyer outscored GT 34-7 from that point. Heard accounted for 7 TDs, 5 rushing. A true dual threat QB BUT wont be here until 2014.
I'd forgotten how bizarre this thread was. BTW I did notice watching the game that pretty much the only guy not celebrating when we scored the winning touchdown was Overstreet, who was wandering around the sidelines looking like he was the last guy picked in the school kickball game.
